BBall Recruiting Thread 2k16- SJM, Washington, Childress & Mitchell sign NLIs; 2017?

You people are crazy.

I haven't been able to post pretty much all day. I didn't find out about the knee until I was able to look at my phone around lunch and saw it on Team Stream.

I don't know what to think. At this point, I think he's going to dook...only because of something I heard yesterday. Until then, I had no reason to think he was a dook lock and every reason to believe we were #1 on the list. Even after his dook visit last weekend, my source (One of HGs former AAU coaches who is very close with him and his family) thought HG was still conflicted and it was wake, dook, ky. I don't know for certain that it's not still those three, but if what I heard is true- and the last 24 hours make me think it is- then it's dook.

Personally, I don't think he's been a dook lock all along and I don't think he's been stringing us along, either. Everything I have been told jives with timeline & events. I have no reason to doubt what I was told and I will stand behind the information I posted in this board.

I think Harry's parents have been getting bad advice from folks who don't have their son's best interest at heart. The transfer to OHA was a bad move. That coach doesn't care about Harry. He just likes the attention HG brings to him and his team. Most people, except K and Capel, thought HG should play at WCA this year and enjoy himself after playing a pretty grueling AAU/USA basketball schedule. He was already #1 and staying at WCA wasn't going to change that. I know my "source" explained this to the family and he thought Harry was going to stay at WCA up until he decided not to.

So, at this point I'm not sure what the hell is going on. Too many tweets & deleted tweets, the family isn't saying anything to anyone, Harry is injured, and he just retweeted a CP3 tweet.

I really don't think anyone knows anything about anything and HG has masterfully worked his recruiting story to maximize exposure. If that was his goal, hats off to him.
 
I don't think the 2017 recruiting thread should be started until like next April or something. 900+ pages and we're gonna end up with a [Redacted]-level class. 600+ posts for me alone. What the hell am I doing?

And I would have posted sooner but I had to wade through 3,000 gifs. Trying to piece together news from Twitter that's there one minute and gone the next and trying to text someone who might know something who was in turn trying to figure out what was going on himself took a while.

Like I said before, I only relayed info as it was told to me. In fact, I gave my phone to my source and let him post for me on several occasions. Didn't want to misquote him.

I heard from a poster on this board who has nothing to do with my source. I don't have to believe him and I didn't at first, but I do think he's telling the truth now.

It can't be repeated because it violates privacy laws and someone's job could be jeopardized if it were shared publicly. The person who shared with me would have to make the decision to spill it.
 
It seems like some people wants to portray this as: "he's going to Duke now so he must have been stringing us along." More likely is he hadn't really made up his mind, the stuff KVegas has been telling us has been true, and he recently decided to Duke and probably gave a soft verbal this weekend on his OV (or at the least just finally decided that Duke was for him).

That's probably the simplest explanation at this point but who really knows?

I'm cool without knowing the name of the person who leaked the bad news. I get that. I'm cool with not knowing the #scoop on why things went south all of the sudden tonight, but the beans better be spilled once he announces. Need closure by understanding Harry's change of heart.

I really don't think he was stringing us along. I had the opportunity to get to know this kid and, in my opinion, this would be very out of character for him.

I am 100% positive that his mom wants Wake. Heard that too many times to discount it and she was head-to-toe black & gold for several games. You don't collect that much team gear as a non-fan.

I don't know if what I heard is a done deal or not. I'm hoping not because I think the knee injury is advantage Wake. I can't check messages to see if there is confirmation of what was going to "seal the deal" because my inbox is full and I can't fix it from my phone.

Idk that anyone knows why he changed his mind or anything (maybe KVegas does) - I think people just have information that he's going to pick a certain school tomorrow or not pick a certain school (not necessary why).
 
I don't know what's going to happen tomorrow. I just know I'm glad that it is happening tomorrow and not a week from now...I don't know if I could have lasted until then.
 
Slamming some nice lady in Kernersville, North Carolina because she wasn't able to predict where an 18 year old kid was going to go for a year before he gets millions of dollars is kind of silly. KVegas has always been very open with the #scoops and I don't think there was anything malicious about it.
