Yeah. She wasn't allowed to drive so I drove her to DC for an interview and to and from class.

The one big sacrifice I've made so far is I skipped Sunday of Lollapalooza to be with her. Really, I just slept a lot since we had been in the ER until 3am the night before.

But it definitely sucked, because ILDeac, TownieDeac, and wagondeac had all come into town specifically for Lolla and I missed half of it with her.

WTF is Jim Grobe talking about here??

"We gassed out a little quicker than we normally would. For some reason the guys have it in their head that when the full pads are on it becomes hotter and harder and you get tired easier. I don't think any of that is the case, but we were a little more sluggish today," said head coach Jim Grobe.

Sometimes he's way too old fashioned. He always wants players to play through injury, and now he's bitching that they get too hot? One of these days, someone's going to get seriously injured. Heaven forbid someone die because Grobe doesn't realize that pads and a helmet DO actually make you heat up faster.

I glanced through a couple pages but had to leave the computer 'cause the gf was beckoning.

She broke her arm (very minor break) at Lolla and now can't use her left arm that well. I have to help her do all kinds of random crap now.

WO. That sucks :( Tell her I hope she feels better.

Whenever you get a chance, read that thread and let me know what you think. Lots of wackos on there, but some of the stuff is interesting. IMO

My brother applied for an internship with Bama. They asked when he could come in for an interview and he said, "well I live in VA but if y'all are serious I could be down there tomorrow."

They told him, "Why don't you take a week to get your affairs in order. Come down for q chat and hopefully we can save you the drive back to VA".

Hey TW what router did you just get again, I think I want to get a new one. This one seems to be acting up (Imma probably flash it w/ Tomato soon though to try and fix it).

That's exciting!
Kind of a pain in the ass, but still exciting :)

Yeah. He went to Bama and worked for the football team. So he has good reds in the department and just passed his certification exam. So he will drive down and stay witha buddy and see what's up.

I can never tell how much of that Grobe means at face value and how much he is saying to send a message. Cav?

From my experience Grobe is a straight shooter. I imagine that this is the Dale Carnegie tactic of "Giving them a reputation to live up to."

I mean..obviously with full pads on it gets hotter. Saw Derricus Ellis throwing up at practice today and they were definitely hotter than they have been. It was also absolutely hotter than it has been at any other practice so far.

I sometimes hate having to pick food for weddings with the RSVP card. They give me no descriptions, which makes it impossible for me to know if I can eat the food. It's a plated meal so I cannot pick and choose stuff that I can eat.

I just feel like I'm being a bitch asking for a description of the foods, but I want to make sure that I don't end up in the hospital. Plus, my allergy isn't very common, but it is in a lot of food. Most people don't even know that it is in the food, but I do.

I hope that if you are the invited party (not a +1) then you know someone well enough to ask comfortably and that they might know of your allergy already. But yeah always having to ask what is in something would certainly be tiring.
