Indiana -5

For all Wolford's flaws, game planning for him and removing the back-and-forth can only help him.

Yeah seems like we went to a few more quick hit type passes in the second half. Key is going to be offensive line opening up some gaps and getting push to establish the running game early.

I know it's only a limited sample, but against Delaware Hinton was sacked and Wolford wasn't. Wolford also had a higher ypc (10) than Hinton (6.3). Now I know Hinton is the gifted running QB, but sometimes stats are deceptively uncharacteristic. Hope Hinton's injury isn't severe and that he makes it back to continue where he left off.

Wolford is a beast against FCS schools.

One other potentially critical injury loss is IU's 5th year senior right guard Dan Feeney who was on a variety of All-American lists last season. He left the game a week ago with a concussion and has not yet been cleared to return. He's started every game since he stepped on campus (excluding his true soph year where he sat out injured and redshirted) and he's only given up one sack. He's also critical to IU's run game.

Yeah, Coach Clawson mentioned in the post game Saturday that you guys had maybe the best Offensive Lineman in the Big 10, I assume that's the guy he was referring to.

Yep. He's easily the best guard IU's had in the last 15 years and arguably better than the top tackles we've had which includes Roger Saffold and Jason Spriggs both of whom were 2nd round picks. He's not as naturally talented as those two but he's smart, tough and incredibly physical.

He'll play against Wake. Have no fear on that score. For him to miss would require Wake to actually catch a break, which is not going to happen in my lifetime.

That's what I'm hearing as well but Coach Wilson said it was an open question this morning.

I don't mean this to be rude BTB. but Coach Wilson is a complete and utter asshole.

Not shocking since he went to UNC, but everything I have read from him makes me despise him.

Is Carney back for this game?

A buddy of mine who is a huge Big 10 junkie says this is the best Indiana team in the last 20 years, for whatever that is worth. Thinks we'll need to score at least 28 to have a chance, which I don't see with Wolford.

So they have an LT drafted high, a QB go to the Redskins and Howard drafted by the Bears and this team is better than last years?

Can you share some quotes?

The wise guys know that Hinton is out, too, and the set they opening line at IU -5.

They set the line to get equal bets on both sides which has nothing to do with the final outcome which typically varies from the line by 10-15 points.
In this case the line is 5 but Indiana should win by 15-20 points.

The spread versus the outcome often varies by 40 points such as the va tech game and Louisville game last week and the wake game was 20 points off too.
