For all Wolford's flaws, game planning for him and removing the back-and-forth can only help him.
I know it's only a limited sample, but against Delaware Hinton was sacked and Wolford wasn't. Wolford also had a higher ypc (10) than Hinton (6.3). Now I know Hinton is the gifted running QB, but sometimes stats are deceptively uncharacteristic. Hope Hinton's injury isn't severe and that he makes it back to continue where he left off.
One other potentially critical injury loss is IU's 5th year senior right guard Dan Feeney who was on a variety of All-American lists last season. He left the game a week ago with a concussion and has not yet been cleared to return. He's started every game since he stepped on campus (excluding his true soph year where he sat out injured and redshirted) and he's only given up one sack. He's also critical to IU's run game.
Is the game televised?
Yeah, Coach Clawson mentioned in the post game Saturday that you guys had maybe the best Offensive Lineman in the Big 10, I assume that's the guy he was referring to.
Yep. He's easily the best guard IU's had in the last 15 years and arguably better than the top tackles we've had which includes Roger Saffold and Jason Spriggs both of whom were 2nd round picks. He's not as naturally talented as those two but he's smart, tough and incredibly physical.
He'll play against Wake. Have no fear on that score. For him to miss would require Wake to actually catch a break, which is not going to happen in my lifetime.
I don't mean this to be rude BTB. but Coach Wilson is a complete and utter asshole.
Not shocking since he went to UNC, but everything I have read from him makes me despise him.
The wise guys know that Hinton is out, too, and the set they opening line at IU -5.
