Department of Justice investigating Comey's actions before election

Are we talking about July or October here?

No, what you say later cannot be considered perjury. It could subject one to perjury, but that's not related to what we're discussing here.

First of all, one can "remain under oath." I've heard judges utter those words at least a hundred times. Second, ...

Also, Hillary herself has expressed doubt at the letter affecting the election:

What does a judge have to do with congressional testimony and DOJ rules?

And how could Comey truthfully say those emails were pertinent when he had no idea of the content?

Nothing here. Hillary lost the election by being so despicable. Wiki leaks helped by disclosing all the cheating they did to help cost poor old Bernie the Dem nomination, Debbie WaWa her job and uncover how Brazile had forwarded debate questions to Hillary. Then a special thanks to Obama and his ObamaCare when the tremendously high premium increases came out about 2 weeks before the election and any undecided people had a chance to remember that HRC had backed all this when it was coming out AND during her campaign.

He didn't say they were pertinent. He said they didn't know and they were investigating. The point of his letter was to correct his testimony that she was no longer being investigated and that the investigation had concluded.

You went to church on a Saturday? Sounds fishy.

Sorry, it was June 9th. I checked quickly and misread the date:

JUN 09 - 1968 21:08:28 Went to Sunday morning service @First Methodist Church; wore solid black outfit with black sweater in memory of Robert F Kennedy

I can never trust anything you say again. You are no better than townie.

Jesus Christ. The letter to Congress specifically says the emails appear to be pertinent. It's a direct quote.

It's absolutely relevant. The DNC manipulated the process to nominate a corrupt, shit candidate and now we're stuck with Donald Fucking Trump.

Lol. Blame the Dems for who the Republicans nominated? That's a new one

Followed by, "Although the FBI cannot yet assess whether or not this material may be significant..."

But feel free to keep distorting the context. My fault for mixing up "pertinent" and "significant" without double checking first.

Here's the actual text of the letter.

No. I'm blaming the Dems for nominating a shit candidate. Trump was going to get the crazies. A better candidate would have overcome that.

Why wait until nine days before leaving office?

Because this is simply a political maneuver. The timing means this will need to be wrapped up by Trump. He loses politically if he shuts it down or if it concludes without placing blame on the FBI. It also deflects blame from Hillary who is the root cause of the problem. Anthony Weiner was certainly a major part of this but it was Bill and Hillary who introduced him to Huma with Bill officiating their wedding. Those Clinton's are great judges of character!

so why send the letter at all, then?

Because it was so important to correct the record and make sure everyone knew she was still being investigating for more probably meaningless emails IMMEDIATELY before the election. No ill intentions there at all. And obviously not important to let anyone know about Russian interference, Trump being in bed with Putin, and PEE-OTUS' perverted piss parties.

How could they know if they were pertinent if they didn't know the contents? Spoiler alert: They couldn't.

Comey obviously broke procedure and customs because he was so concerned about covering his ass. We'll never know if he did it for partisan reasons as well.

im glad the nation is in such great shape that he has time to tweet these thoughts
