Ally has savings accounts at 1%. HSBC has savings accounts at 1.5%.

Will probably move our meager savings over to one of those or Charles Schwab soon to take advantage of some of their services. Not having brick and mortar locations really doesn't mean shit anymore.

I got flack here for opening multiple savings accounts, but I did Goldman Sachs Bank for 1.05%. HSBC has 1.5%?!

Also assuming they verify the income it will be immediately apparent that the 50m in distributions is not really a recurring income source.

Funds aren't required to verify income, but the investor just needs to sign it. High net worth people aren't going to let people view their tax, returns for example. Only risk is if the SEC ever came knocking you'd have to show 2 years of taxable income of 200k. In this case you aren't even lying (plus they'd never check)

exactly, which is why I'm trying to understand the play. plus, why put it in any account with a 10% penalty instead of a CD or something? he must be leaving out match information.

A Cd isn't taxable income. You need to get your tax return to get to the number. Just investing after tax dollars doesn't get you there unless you already have like 500k worth of CDs paying 10% income, etc.

Using the 401k though you can make taxable income whenever you want. It's just unusual because people ordinarily don't want taxable income whereas I do.

How much cheese you gotta put in? Income is nice but I'm guessing there are investable asset minimums and required levels. I've got the majority of my stuff in a fund that invests in the 5 top dividend paying stocks in 10 industries. 10 year average return is like 15%. I pay .5% fee annually. I'm always interested in breaking off a small piece to try to hit a home run.

Depends on the firm and fund, but there are plenty with pretty lowish numbers, but usually 50-100k

Anyone pay for lawn maintenance? What is a reasonable price to expect? I would do it myself, but I am literally gone basically May-September.

Mainly looking for mowing, flower bed, and natural area maintenance.

Hit me up with an example you are interested in. Just curious what it looks like.

Just cutting, trimming, etc? Or fertilizing, overseeding, the works?

You won't find what it looks like on the net

Like the most successful one I worked with would buy some strange companies, like Mattel toys or something, they sold ant farms believe it or not and made like a 35% return. They also scooped up like 30 apt complexes in 2009-2011

Usually they're promoted , like split evenly up to 15% return but after that the sponsor gets better than a pro-Rata share , say they're 10% partners they'll get 20% after you get a 15% return or 30% after you get a 20% return, etc

Start with at least cutting & trimming and work from there. Just don't want my yard to look like Cambodia anymore, and I am gone so much during the times things grow. I will be out of town the next 5 straight weekends.

Are there no teenagers in your neighborhood?
