ACA Running Thread

if they repeal without something else in place there will be a lot of turnover in congress. imo

Reps have been waiting for something to be done...better and cheaper, for 7 years and then to just to have nothing and put so many people without health care.

oh boy...crashing and burning as expected

What is the strategy behind pushing the 2015 bill? To shame Republicans who voted for it in 2015 but are backing out now that there are real consequences? I'm starting to think Mitch doesn't like his fellow senators.

Republicans have just been sabotaging ACA with no plan to replace it.

LOL this fucking guy

To get 48 votes on that PoS bill is impressive...and horrifying.

So is the goal here for Democrats to try and get the increased subsidies that the Pub congress wouldn't initially issue, which in turn lead to a lot of the problems we saw with ACA?

And something I've been wondering, would these healthcare subsidies be covered under medicaid, or are those 2 completely different things?

They aren't sure they would have gotten 48 votes. That was the maximum. There were several other "maybes".

The winning is just flowing from this administration. I never understood how they ever thought the republicans that had problems with Medicaid cuts were going to go along with Medicaid cuts kicking in earlier than what they were worried about.

Yuge winning underway by the red team! Such a sad lot of sackless losers.

Get some balls and negotiate with the Dems for what's best for America.

This is what happens when you let a bunch of Sarah Palin fetishist take over your political party.

Plan D is apparently just not paying the insurance companies- guaranteeing a collapse.

Way to look out for the little guys GOP.

Good strategy. Let the dems and everybody know how much it costs, then put them to task for not voting to replace it.

So the plan in contingent on voters not knowing which party is currently in power.

It really does make you wonder why Capito and Paul are the only senators from anywhere near the midwest who think this bill is trash. I find it very hard to believe that what is good for Kentucky and West Va wouldn't also apply favorably to large parts of Indiana, Ohio, Illinois and western Pennsylvania.
