Surprising that identity politics have not healed the racial divide. I assume next time the Dems set about trying to claim power by dividing groups into aggrieved minorities, they will target the largest one as well.

Sheridan police arrested a man after he admitted cutting himself and making up a story about being stabbed by someone who asked if he was a “neo-Nazi.”
Joshua Witt, 26, told police on Aug. 16 that he was stabbed in the hand by a man who approached him outside the Steak ‘n Shake restaurant at 3502 River Point Parkway.
Witt told police the man asked if he was a neo-Nazi and then tried to stab him. Witt claimed his hand was injured as he tried to protect himself. Witt, a U.S. Navy boatswain’s mate who lives in San Diego, posted photos of his injured hand on his Facebook page and shared the fake story about being stabbed.

Police became skeptical of Witt’s story when they reviewed surveillance video and saw no one running from the scene. They also found a transient who lives in the area who matched the description Witt gave, but cleared him as a suspect.
Video from a nearby sporting goods store showed Witt purchasing a small knife.
When police confronted Witt with that information on Aug. 24, he admitted accidentally cutting himself with the knife while in his car parked in front of the store.

stories this this is propagating the hate in this country. usually people hear the stories but fail to get the truth that comes out later. sort of like Trump saying 15k people in Arizona rally when there was only a little over 4k.

People of European heritage are doing just fine in the world. They run most of the world’s institutions, hold much of the world’s wealth, replicate as frequently as other humans. You’re not in any danger here. The world is changing, that’s true. Others want a piece of the pie. They work for it, strive for it and earn it. Technology (robotics) is having a greater effect on your job prospects than immigrants. Going forward, tackling corporate control and climate change will need all of our attention, ideas and energy. Put down your Tiki torches and trite flags and get involved in some real work.





By the way, the world won the war against Nazi fascism in the 1940s, just as America won the war against the Confederacy in the 1860s. Aligning with two lost causes just labels you as profound losers.

I don't buy that. Yes, white folks of European descent are doing well in general. But I'm willing to bet most of the white supremacists who were here 2 weeks ago aren't doing as well as you and I are and probably not as well as they used to do. They're facing a brave new world of globalization and rapid technological advances, and 1 where whites will no longer be the majority of this country in 25 years. That disturbs them and drives them toward the various white nationalist ideologies. And they don't want to change with the times so may as well blame someone else, like the Chinese, Indians, rapist Latinos.... Most Klan folks are lower to lower-middle on the socio-economic spectrum. And theorists/writers/bloggers like Richard Spencer and Jason Kessler don't seem to be able to hold down regular jobs, even though both of their lame asses are UVA educated. And hopefully fewer of those folks will be gainfully employed as time goes on. I've read that a handful of them, after being discovered, have been terminated from their jobs, and 1 of the younger ones was kicked out of his college. That's probably the best way in the long run at getting back at these folks - scanning the videos and turning them in to their employers/schools. I get that Trump with his rhetoric has helped enable these folks to come out of their woodwork crevices. But when enough of them start losing their jobs over such rallies, hopefully they'll return to said crevices.
 
Refusing to adapt to a changing world is their problem. Blaming it on immigrants and blacks is ignorant and shifts the blame away from their refusal to enter the 21st century.
 
Trump is about to send Dreamers back to countries they don't remember and may not speak the language of. Additionally, it looks like the Trump Admin will be leaving slave owner, creator and implementer of the Native American Trail of Tears, Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill rather than putting Harriet Tubman on there as had been planned.

Can somebody explain what Republicans have against Harriet Tubman? Why isn't she part of the history they want to preserve?

Trump doesn't know who she was. All he knows is she was black, not wealthy and not a supermodel. Therefore, she can't have any value.

What a way to frame this. There's no history of Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill to preserve. There is history of Andrew Jackson being on the $20 bill

And his history is of being a bigot of the first order. Worse than having slaves was the way he treated his. He was even worse to Native Americans. Thousands died because of his evil.

But keep supporting him.
