Chicago Cubs Thread - Playoff Push Pending

Playing with fire giving CJ another inning there - was shocked we didnt go to MiMo to face Harper - think we would have gotten out of the inning if we did. That hanging curve by CJ to Harper was woof.
 
Maddon is a stubborn cuss, especially regarding the bullpen. Recall his usage of Lester and Chapman last year. Schwarber batting lead off. He'll go against the grain, have it blow up in his face, defend the move then do it again tomorrow.
 
Using Lester out of the bullpen in Game 7 was a bad thing?

Rizzo is showing what clutch is all about. Almora picked a good time to get his first post season hit and RBI. Nice maneuvering by Joe.

never really understood that one
 
Stras threw his bullpen session yesterday afternoon while game still wasn't cancelled, so he's not available to pitch today. So Cubs get to face Roark with an extra day of rest for Jake's hammy. Win win for Cubs. And also...#DustyGonnaDusty
 
I'm flying into chicago today - really debating about going. Tickets are a bit crazy, though. Depends on where they end up.
