WFU Soccer:

Muuss becomes the fastest coach in school history to win 50 games, doing so in just 62 games. Next closest was 89. Pretty damn good.

Not our best game; but good win.

I disagree. We faced a team that showed us what we will see in the NCAAs, most likely. 10 behind the ball at all times. We played with poise and continued to work the ball around to play our game. Earlier in the season, I think we saw some frustration when this was thrown at us. Last night, we were content to play the ball around and create chances. Outside of a handful of elite college teams this year, no one can run with us for a full 90. Our attack has too many dynamic pieces. We played a team, on the road, fighting for a marquee win, who had not lost at home, and we came away with a 2-0 win.

What does "dynamic pieces" mean in a soccer context?

Really talented players or something else?

We also played some guys we haven't seen much this season. I'd never seen that tall winger guy before, and Gager only sparingly.

I haven't seen our team play but I think he means that our players can do a number of different things and play in a number of different ways.

Dynamic pieces means guys that can take on players and score in a game that is stagnant or sets up 1 v 1 situations against your mark. Bakero, Argudo, Ema, and Echeverria all have the ability to go at defenders and make something out of what seems like little space or time.

Chol played fairly sparingly, however, he did log a goal earlier in the season. But yeah, I also think we got some players some run who hadn't earlier. I really can't remember Gauger having played this season, but I'm sure he's logged a couple minutes at some point.

Nice, thanks re: Chol. I do remember Gauger earlier in the season. Wasn't Twumasi coming off the bench last year at forward? He's all over the pitch this year. Argudo was also cutting inside more yesterday than I remembered him doing.

Defs has played before. He was the player helper for my team at the Wake camp so I recognized him.

Anyone know when Servania and ? are back from national team duties? Impressive that we continued this run without them.

Nevermind, I see that Servania played 69 minutes against Elon.

I seem to recall gauger having a great play leading to a goal a few games ago. He did not score or assist but he created the chance. The only reason I recall this is that he was my sons counselor at soccer camp this past summer
