I don't know that Trump is defensible, however the same goes with Hillary. Those on the left provide no cogent arguments as to why Uranium One/DNC takeover should not be looked into other than to say it is just trump trying to muddy the waters when it was the Hill that uncovered a lot of this stuff.
Modest proposal: Put them both in jail and lets be done with them and start fresh.
Haha appreciate the proposal and as much as I want to agree, it's not right in my opinion. As much as I dislike her (full disclosure I voted for her as a registered R)...both UO and this recent controversy are defensible.
Regarding Uranium One, I'm all for investigating any donations to Clintons foundation to make sure they were above board. I've said that from the get go. I'm also fine investigating the deal to see if anything illegal happened or if there are any learnings we can glean to potentially change the law for similar deals in the future. From a legal standpoint, it appears the deal was perfectly legal and approved by several agencies within the government. Admittedly I do not know a lot about nuclear policy but I know we have one poster on this board who does and even he agrees that the Uranium One controversy is politically driven. This is the best explanation I've come across to fully understand the hype:

Regarding the Hillary/DNC/Brazille situation, I would be pissed if I were a Democrat and especially a Bernie supporter. The DNC or RNC should maintain neutrality throughout the primary process. That being said, Party and Committee politics are pretty fucking incestuous in my experience and it's probably next to impossible to maintain full neutrality. If anyone thinks the RNC was fully neutral, I have a bridge for sale. And the fundraising agreement cited in Brazile's book was written specifically for the general election.
And most importantly, there really is no comparison between an intra-party dispute and colluding with a foreign adversary to tip an election. At least Hillary and the Dems kept their shenanigans within the country.
