Wake NC State 7:30 PM ESPNU Night Game!

Congrats on the fantastic performance today. I haven't been able to watch much Wake football this year. Help a Pack fan out and tell me how your offense is putting up these kinds of numbers since the App game. It seems balanced and I know you lost some players to injury. Next week should be pretty epic. I have no idea what to expect at this point. You guys just might blow us out.

The biggest key for me is the offensive line. They are consistently giving Wolford time to do his thing. Pretty simplistic explanation, I know...

Really it is since the Louisville game. We could see hints in the GT game, but we really exploded in the UL game. Of course, Dortch had 4 TDs in that game, and when he got hurt I don't think anybody expected 1300 yards and 100 points over the next two games.

What's crazy is the highlights I've watched are RBs running free and wide open receivers. Wolford is hitting them but it seems the scheme is providing great opportunities with ample yards after catch. Looking forward to learning more this week. I don't have a ticket in hand but I'll be in Colfax next week and am seriously thinking about going to the game.

This has all the makings if the Phillip Rivers spanking at Wake in like 2004.

Unfortunately they will score, but I feel like we will score a lot more. Go Deacs

The whole offense is predicated on the RPO, which Wolford runs really well. We are basically GT right now, having an efficient option offense - except the third option after the RB or QB run is a pass to a badass TE or some emerging WRs.

Those composite rankings aren't very good. I would look at FPI, Sagarin and Football Outsiders.

They have 16 rankings and don't include any of those. One of their 16 has us ranked 92nd, which is absurd and skews our composite.

Look at the link again later. They are updated as more rankings are released. It's up to 22 now. It was 110 rankings last week.

No. He's bot #30844 created by the NCSU Computer Science program to troll opposing message boards.

It's kind of like how deacfan27 was the 27th attempt to create the ideal message board poster and it took 22890 attempts to duplicate him.

Just imagine how many attempts it would have taken if he were taller.

That was one of my favorite wins in Wake history. Was the week before they’d been talking all summer about heading to Columbus to take down defending national champion OSU and become the national championship favorite and vault Rivers into the Heisman conversation. I think those dreams were dashed by the end of the first quarter or so; remember it was 28-3 rather quickly.

I have looked for YouTube video of Willie Idlette’s punt return TD to make it 28-3 without success. That was one of my favorite individual plays in any Deacon game ever.

Hopefully State will pack it in a bit now that their ACCCG chances are completely gone

They still might equal their best season ever and get to play a real football school in the Tax Slayer Bowl.
