Storm - thats awesome, thanks so much for doing it. However, my OOC Game 3 is against St Louis, he is in my division, I cant schedule an OOC against him - anyone I can switch out for?

Crap, didn't think we had but two conflicts. I'll work on a fix for next season. Just pick a non-deac team to go against that week. With 3 conflicts, I might have to break us into two groups of 5 next season.

Speaking of St Louis, huge congrats to them over a first round win over Milwaukee and a chance to make a run in the Conference 16 tourney.

I proceeded to drop a second game in a row to a team that is heads and shoulders better than me, recruiting wise, but under performed terribly during the year. As a cubs fan, I am used to the "theres always next year..."

I wasn't expecting to have a chance versus Milwaukee. My freshman pg had a heck of a game. I wouldn't be surprised if we get to the finals before losing to Youngstown or losing today.

We need recruits! And scorers!

Soooo completely unexpected but Flagstaff pulls an upset in the second round of the conference tourney and finishes it off tonight to punch our first ticket to the NTT.

We are the 14 seed in the Region 3 playing against Baton Rouge. They look like a really good team but one that I think we match up well with and have a chance. Will need my freshman to play unreal to pull the upset but think it's possible. Good luck to the rest of you guys in the tourney that you are in.

Durham is extremely streaky - won 5 of 6, lost 5 of 6, won 2 of 3, lost 3 straight. Couldn't beat Myrtle Beach for the third time last night. In PTT, and playing a Keystone team that is not playing up to their recruiting by a long shot. Their senior class is 234/231 but two of them are obv NA. Keystone's other three class are top 50. Durham is graduating it's best class (11/18), so this may be a game of two programs going in opposite directions. The good news about Keystone is they don't seem to have good shooters. I shouldn't get too down on Durham since our SoS is #6.

But I really don't have a feel for this team. We've lost to many teams worse than the one's we've beaten. Which is the real Durham team? Knowing that the randomness/upset mechanism in the game is turned up too high (per consensus on sim boards) keeps me from fretting about it too much. Having a loose, at best, consequence to the team make-up and coaching actions hurts interest. Just holding on til the game gets fixed or others quit in frustration.

Recruiting
Brandon Thomas 3/3
Dallas Green 5/5 - I think he was 6/6
Terrell Mixon 0/1
Alexis Nunez 1/1 (-9, but have Local prefs on my side)
Zachary Compton 0/1

I won't replace the 11/16 senior class without breaking a tie, but the next class should be solid if 3 CL's sign, or average with 2 CL's and a walk-on.

I said nothing but good things about Durham in the post game press conference.

Accepted all of my OOC games and added Stillwater fro Game 4. Durham had added me for game 5 when the schedule had us in game 4 so I just flopped those. If that screws stuff up just let me know and i can resubmit.

Up 17 in the first half, lose by 4 - pretty standard the way my season has gone.

I've benched my senior starter and starting 3 sophomores, 1 freshman and 1 junior to see how my rotation will work next year if I swing and miss on all maxes (likely...)

Lost 61-47. All but 8 of my opponents points were scored by guards. 43 points by the starting backcourt.

I had to double check what thread I was on - thought it was the DM Credibility thread for a second.

LMAO!

Amarillo out in the 1st round of the PTT. This team just cannot score and my incoming recruits aren't likely to help that. Going to be another couple of seasons of average play for this team. :(

I don't even want to know what they're saying on the PhDeac Credibility Thread on the Myrtle boards.

Flagstaff 90
Baton Rouge 79

Flagstaff pulls what has to be considered a mild upset over the 3 seed. I thought we had a chance with our very underrated defensive specialist Nikola Rouse assigned the task of shutting down Dylan Taylor and the firepower that my freshmen guards could theoretically score. It worked about as well as I could hope as Taylor had to take 24 shots to score 21 points and my freshmen 44 points. Up next is dark horse favorite the Frankfort Fighting Owls. They have a really good team and are well balanced through all 4 classes. Freshman Johnathan Bowie will be a hand full and i'll need Larry Gary to play out of his mind (and get some help) to pull the upset but i'm already playing with house money so we will see what happens.

I sat two seniors and moved my senior GGEGEG PG (5.7 pts, 6.1 ast, 2.7 to) to bPG for the silly season and picked up my second win in the last 8 games. My bSG who had 9 ast on the season had 3 (and 4 turnovers) and was the leading scorer with 15.

My FFFGFF 6-5/227 Soph who was NA all season had 1 ast, 1 to, and 1 foul in one appearance last year. Today? 13 pts, 3 reb, 2 stl, 2 ast in 19 min on 6-8 fg. The Myrtle boards had a field day with that one.

Frankfort 101
Flagstaff 77

This game went about how I expected unfortunately. Just too young and not enough offensive weapons in Flagstaff to beat the better teams in the league on a consistent basis. Still nice to be in the NTT again and to pull a seedline upset was even better. I expect to get my head caved in the next few rounds but it will be a learning experience hopefully.

Recruiting remains the same. Ties are 8/8 (Sergio Brown lottery), 2/2, 1,1 with 2 CL's. Worst case I only get the 2 CL's but i'd be pretty surprised if I don't land one of the smaller ties to replace my departing senior big. He's a +7 but at only 6'8 and very little ability (or mindset) to score the ball, he needed to be a glue guy SF on a really good team. We couldn't offer him that oppertunity so he did his best as a C. If we land the 1/1 tie I replace him with an almost identical player and if I land the 2/2 tie I replace him with a better defender and scorer but who is 6'11. I'm sure they won't be as good as him right off the bat but with other two CL's adding some additional scoring and PG play I don't expect too big of a drop off next season.

Given all of that i'm sure i'll strike out on all 3 ties and have a pretty large drop off so lets ee how it goes!

O3 Stillwater outstanding

:noidea:

The test league turned over today, and I had TWO rare recruiting occurrences happen in the same class. I had one Fair scouted recruit go from Poor+ to Good in an attribute, and I had a Poor scouted recruit go from Poor to Exc in an attribute. Most of the time attributes vary -1/+1, and I got a +2 and +3 attribute jump from scout in the same class. So I got that, and total enlightenment when I die, going for me......which is nice.
