College basketball bribery scandal

Mesherikov is definitely a starter on my All-"I forgot that guy even existed" team.

He can play alongside Mike Drum (who shot 47.5% from 3 as a senior on 80 attempts!).

To be eligible, you have to had played at least 2 full seasons at Wake Forest.

That is probably a good thing. Mescheriakov played on two sub-200 teams. (#259 in 2011, #211 in 2012)

Damn. Konnor Tucker was going to be my captain.

I doubt Wake is involved. There is a reason we have not been good for 8 years.

Maybe every ACC team except Wake is involved. They all go down.
Wake is the last team standing. We win by default.
Go Deacs.

The FBI case against the coaches and agents was always specious af. I mean, everyone involved is scum, but there's no law against coaches getting paid to refer their adult players to certain agents. In every other industry that is just called a "finders fee".

Why do the coaches try to cover it up and deny it then, if it's so baseless? Guys don't do that unless they know it's wrong.

Drum was underrated. At least on offense, he was a nice weapon. I do not remember much about Mesherikov either.

Drum was awful on everything but outside shooting. Slow, couldn’t defend, couldn’t jump, couldn’t drive to the hoop. But Hale wasn’t much better. Prosser played Drum way too much. I’ll never forget him talking about shooting 3 pointers in the pre-game interviews before the game at Air Force. What a nightmare that was, and what’s worse, it probably got Wellman loving on Bzzz.

Continuing to hijack this thread...

The worst thing about Drum was that you knew that the fact that he was in the rotation meant that we probably weren’t a very good team.

No offense to him, of course.

Burn it all down and start fresh. Key to longevity and health. The Native Americans knew it. The ancient Romans knew it. Now you know it.

You should check out his offensive rating. Like I said, underrated offensive player.

If this actually happened, and it turned out we were the only team in the league playing by the rules, would anybody change their mind about the Wellman administration?

I mean, I'm sure a bunch of our fans wish we would cheat so we'd win some, but we seem to vet the ethics of our coaching candidates extremely carefully.

We could truly claim to be the better phans.

False choice. You can be ethical and competent. I know Wellman is not competent. I can't say for sure about his ethics, but those don't look too great either.

Praying Coach K is involved. Would be even more perfect if HG3's shady Nike shoe deal is what does him in.

I'm hoping the Holes are involved just so we can see how they get out unscathed again.

Drum actually turned into a decent offensive player. The problem was he was asked at times to be more than a complementary player.

You can say that about so many players over the years.

Do you guys never learn. NOTHING will come of this. Just like the UNC investigation. Does not matter if it is the FBI. They are licking their wounds and will do nothing this major
