What was with all the damn crying during the figure skating? Like, DURING the skate. If I wanted that much girly drama, I'd call my ex. Pfffttt ...
 
Shuster shot 97% in the win vs. Switzerland. That's nuts.
 
I don't understand short track speed skating. I was certain South Korea's women were going to get DQ'd there and it ended up being Canada and Italy DQ'd for no apparent reason.
 
Canada got dqed because one of their skaters on the inner part got too close to the skaters on the outside.

Apparently a newish rule they had told teams would be strictly enforced. Have not watched it so I have no idea what Italy did.
 
Bode Miller is awful at this analyst thing.

I have no idea why the DQs happened as they did. I don't follow short track speed skating. That's why I don't complain about the rules. I defer to the experts.

He seems bored. After he reads the one minute of info on each skier written for him, he doesn't seem to know what to say.

Contrast that to almost every other analyst especially Lipinski and Weir who seem to have watched every athlete compete numerous times.
 
So Vonn has only won 1 gold and 1 bronze in her career (and may add a bronze today)? I'm surprised it's not more for how much she's the face of skiing

Americans love winners. True. But we also love a good hard luck story. Doesn't hurt that she's beautiful and energetic.
 
USA men's hockey lose in a 1-0 shootout.

Is it typical for there only to be one goal scored in a shootout?


USA men's curling tied 2-2 with Great Britain in End 4. Need to win to have a shot at the medal round.

Men's Curling advances to the medal rounds finishing 3rd with at 10-4 win over GB. GB with a horribly light toss with the hammer in the 9th end came up way short giving up a 4 spot.
