Wake Forest Football 2018 Offseason Discussion

I’m out of the loop on news and can’t find anything. Why didn’t Duke run the 40 today at the combine?

I know he's in a sling or maybe a cast after shoulder surgery. I think he just went for interviews.

I’m guessing Bates didn’t bench press today at the combine. Hope he’s not hurt either. Hoping he can run a 4.55 to maintain his hype momentum.

I look forward to hearing about the QB competition. Could be key to the team's success when replacing what John did for the team last year.

Definitely looking forward to updates about the QB play, but doubt there is going to be much of a "QB competition" (at least for the starting spot). Unless there is an injury, Hinton will start the opener in New Orleans.

Hinton would have to had a significant loss in capability or one of the other guys have massive improvement (think John Collins type jump) for the first game starting QB not to be Hinton.

I look forward to reminders of how good Hinton is.

Love how invested Ph is in Hinton. If that investment is correct, WF is going to have a really special season.

Hinton beat out Wolford in 2016 for a reason. Imagine Hinton behind an even better offensive line than Wolford had in 2017 (which was a reason why Wolford took off)

I think I’m just trolling at this point to start up the discussion again

Don't think this is trolling it all. Expecting him to exceed Wolford's production would be foolish, but it's certainly possible, especially assuming we start the season wide open instead of in turtle shell mode. More possible the offense as a whole improves even more with a better running game.

I love how it’s weird to you that a fan is “invested” in his team’s starting QB.
