Baseball is boring. Basketball is not.
That's true.

The caliber of ball would be similar to that of mid-major teams that recruit outside of the top 100 and have 4 year players.
Really ? Grayson Allen, Theo Pinson, and Joel Berry are Top 20 recruits who are seniors. Wouldn't their teams be better with top sophomores than top freshmen ?
Also, Duke wouldn't be bringing in four Top 20 players every year as they wouldn't have scholarships available for all of them. Talent would have to be spread out more.
Allen, Pinson, and Berry would have declared for the NBA out of high school. Just because they ended up playing four years doesn't mean they would have chosen to out of HS.

I doubt it. There really are only 10 players in a good year that are NBA ready out of high school. If the G-league appeals to you more than college, then fine.
I think the exposure of college basketball v. G league will mitigate the decline of college basketball some. College baseball and minor league baseball give about comparable exposure. If basketball adopts the baseball rule, I think you see three types of NBA minded recruit (with my based-on-nothing-but-gut percentages of top 100 recruites)
1) The superstar - high school phenom who's drafted on talent and potential right our of high school like Garnett or James - 10-5%
2) Players that see the exposure of college basketball/the tournament as a way to increase their draft stock - 50%
3) player that won't nothing to do with college and just want to play basketball - 35%
This all assumes G-league pay structure is similar to baseball (decent bonus, crap pay)

I’m shocked...SHOCKED!!...that Dennis Smith Jr and Mark Gottfried were involved.
Does it get any better than UNC skating on 20 years of cheating while NCState gets nailed. The fuckers are going to be suicidal.
Watching teams built around juniors and seniors wouldn't make the caliber of ball higher? One reason college basketball sucks now is the lack of continuity and familiarity between teammates.
