Wake Forest Football Recruiting

Duke RB commit Zonovan Knight (Who Wake was going after earlier in the cycle) is still committed to the Blue Devils, but could explore other options in the coming months (Likely SEC). Not 100% on his verbal. He's one of their 4*s they currently have in the 2019 class
 
It would be nice if the on firld success translated into higher ranked recruits. Back to back bowl wins should coumt for something.

It will. After last years Military Bowl, we were able to get 10th graders and fast risers (0* to 3*) to listen. The Belk Bowl got us in the door with more 10th graders and 11th graders from last year. This is how we landed a 4* QB Brendon Clark. Don't just look at the rating, because we are looking for kids who can play "Claw-Ball", after two years in the weight room.
 
Would be nice to be doing that starting with more 4 star guys and fewer 2 star guys.

Current Wake O line is an example. 3 star guys took three or four years to get good. Be better to have guys with higher starting point in their development.

He’s not just looking at SEC. Wake and State are in the mix too. I’d be shocked if he stays with duke, along with several other of their top recruits.

From what i've heard Duke has pushed a lot of their early commits family members to reach out to other family members to push kids to commit and wrap up a spot. Knight as well as a few others are not stable at all from what the NCSU guys are hearing. One decommits and I think they lose a few. Knight and Donovan Green are both on shaky from what i've heard. Add to that an expected average season (IMO) and I think you see a lot of their early commits jump ship.

Seems like anyone can get a job as a sports writer now. People like him are why sports reporting/writing sucks now, take me back to the 90s before this mongoloid ever showed his stupid haircut on the internet.

Reading on 247 that Brendon Clark recently picked up offers from Clemson and Tennessee. Great job by the staff identifying him early. Here's to hoping they can hold onto him...
