It’s strange for a lawyer to say a crime only counts if someone commits it more than once.

So as a single-incident rapist, things are looking pretty good for me in court? sweet man Im going to out and get my one rape in cause my clean record before and after it are going to be my iron-clad defense

Or, and just stay with me here, maybe the Dems actually care about eradicating sexual assault and harassment from society and, through the #MeToo movement and other forces, are doing their best to make sure those transgressors are removed from their positions of power where they were able to exploit women. And now they are just asking Republicans whether they want to hold themselves to the same standard.

So if they only sexually assault someone once, then it's OK because it was just the one time?

Imagine if a person murdered someone, it was discovered 30 years later, and then tried to defend themselves in court by saying, "I only murdered the one time, I haven't done it since."
 
Grassley has relented on Monday and offered Wednesday, but demands that no other witnesses appear and that no Republican Senators will ask questions.

What a wuss? Make those Republican men ask questions! If this is a true attempt to get to the truth, there should be other witnesses.

Kavanaugh will be on the Court. There’s no doubt this is all for show, but why not ask questions?

It's hard to take that seriously coming from a Trump supporter. He has 15 accusers and his "grab 'em by the pussy" admission of guilt. You're just throwing reasons around to defend Kavanaugh.

To be fair, I don’t think JB is a trump supporter. He’s just willing to compromise almost anything for a conservative court.
 
Care to seriously answer the question about Grassley’s motivations? Doesn’t seem particularly conservative to allow lawyers to carry out the actions of folks voted on by states.
