NC State game 7:30 Thursday

We’ve got three very good RBs, two of whom are playing in their home state with lots to prove. Both QBs are playing in their home state with passion to play well near their old turf. Coach is so dang mad about the quick turnaround he’s liable to channel that intensity into a winning game plan. If our OL plays tough then Deacs can do some damage on the ground. DL keeps improving but DC is going to have to do a better job of dialing up the schemes. Dortch, Washington and Bachman have a lot more to accomplish this season as well.

By the way, is Scotty Washington now tied for the team lead for interceptions?
 
When was the last time we beat a #14 ranked team.....at their place?
 
Congrats Deacs ! Great win ! This game has the feel of those Grobe teams of the pre 2006 years who had super mental toughness and played above their talent level. Nice to see. Hopefully there's some gas left in the tank to get to 6 wins and a possible bowl. If they do that it's quite an accomplishment for this year's team considering the tough schedule and terrible injuries. No matter what happens the rest of the season this is a legit proud, positive moment for the 2018 Deacs. Well Done

Credit has to go to the offense as well. After they kept shooting themselves in the foot in the first half, the offense made plays in the second - especially in the 4th quarter. Great catches by the receivers, good runs and throws by Newman, solid O-line play, and a couple of long TDs to cap it off. Lastly, props to Sciba. His FGs allowed us to force State to have the need to score a TD on the last drive
 
I would roll my front yard but I'm old and already in pajamas. Counting on the students to absolutely roll the hell out of the quad.
 
Our last ranked win was...…..last year against NC State LOL
 
Great win. Newman played lights out. That’s the kind of defense we have wanted to see all season. Glenn truly is a beast out there. Not to put a damper on things but if you watch the locker room video, the DB #26 is seen falling and then you hear some one for trainer. Hope he is ok.
 
Wow! I can't be prouder of a football team than I am now. They played ugly for almost three quarters, gained confidence and gave themselves a chance to win. Then they made the plays required over the final 18 minutes to prove they earned a win. If the quad isn't covered with TP the students are without hope. Go Deacs. YES!
