Let's say legs are gone to past the knee or arm is gone past the elbow. I don't know how sophisticated prosthetics are, but say in this scenario they wouldn't really be of benefit.

Hmm, if we're saying they're of no benefit/you can't use them for either case that might change things.

I know a kid who lost an arm in a pretty awful wakeboarding accident. Not a kid anymore, but still unbelievable at wakeboarding and a pretty good golfer. It's gotta be way easier to have a "normal" life with one arm than no legs. #anecdotes.

guy who went to my church growing up was on the track team at State and lost part/much of both legs trying to run and jump on a train by campus

dude ended up running in the Paralympics

I lied -- just one leg below the knee

two-time 100m Bronze medalist and twice gold in the 4x100

You're older than I thought (unless he was older than you). Dude was only at school for like two weeks and never even got to run in a meet for state. Great program. Sounds like the dude was and is pretty talented.

he's older than me -- he went to our church as a college student, post-accident; my parents were Sunday school teachers for the college program

you and I are the same year at Wake

Can I get weed in Boston now? What’s the deal? Numbers, hook a brother up. Want to go to a rock show tonight? I got bailed on by girl of dreams.

Had Monday off so I went to a coffee shop / roaster to enjoy a cup of coffee and a book - what an amazing experience. I forgot how delicious good coffee, properly made can be since I'm normally just slamming down some Trader Joe's breakfast blend while getting the kiddos ready in the morning.

Dood. Denver is littered with superb roasters. Welcome back to the right life. Also french press is hella easy.

Anyone on the CT bowl with any regularity? I probably go once every two to three months and it's always a blast.

Yeah, no kidding. I went to Corvus on S. Broadway.

I'm not a fan of french press; normally do pour over at home. I just don't spend the money an expensive coffee anymore since I don't make time to enjoy it - that's the big thing. My prep is fine, it's just the beans themselves don't hold a candle to something like what I got at Corvus.

Chup. You at house of blues right now banging to half of Linkin Park?!

How’d you know?

Nah, I was at Paradise watching living legend Richard Thompson shred the house. Guessing I was definitely in the youngest 1-5% there, but holy shit he was good. Top 10 show all time for me. And I get to see him again in two weeks!
