Wake Forest Football Recruiting

At least we know he ends up correct most of the time. Often these guys change their picks at the last minute when info leaks out.

Regardless, hope this kid becomes a Deac!
He was nw until today

Hope we have room for the last four - Big Mac from Wake Forest, Josh DeBerry, the DB from VA and the kid from Maryland. I suspect Clawson may push a few more redshirt juniors to go ahead and graduate.

As much as Clawson preaches that we don't do what Lousiville does, I highly doubt we run out of scholarships.

There are always 2-3 kids who leave the program in the spring, for one reason or another. As long as he doesn't recruit 25 kids for 15 spots, like a lot of programs do, he shouldn't have any problems.

I think we have 20 for 17 right now

I saw Coach Hunter in the Memphis airport last week, probably right after he sealed the deal with Walker. Thought maybe he was on to 2020 recruiting since we didnt have a commit from the area at the time, but I guess he was flipping Walker.

Hopefullly the weather coming to Winston isn’t going to negatively impact things. Not much cushion before NSD.

I have us with 19 spots but that is counting Anthony Manning's release and Hinton being gone so we may be the same. There are at least 2-4 guys that I have on the ropes for various reasons which includes playing time at this point in their career.

I think if Kevon Glenn or Trey Rucker wants to come on down that Mays would be offered the opportunity to transfer.

I'm so excited for this particular early signing day, its gonna be awesome. I know that Groulx, Greene and Flowers are everyone's favorites, but I have a couple other guys whose tapes I really enjoyed, can't wait to see them in Old Gold and Black. Go Deacs.

WF has less attrition than most football programs, but every year a couple of players leave in search of playing time, to be closer to home, because of grades, because they don't like the school or a million other reasons (IIRC, WF lost a player a few years ago so that he could go to the same school has his HS girlfriend  ). Each incoming class has about 20 kids, the retention rate for the football program far exceeds that of the general student population; even so, the staff knows that a couple of kids in each class are likely to move on for one reason or another.

Seems like we are expecting to lose some CBs with bringing in these Committments.

He never played but married his high school sweetheart and is doing well.
