Bullshit Trump Says

Also, this is just such a poor person idea of what rich people do, they have fast food delivered for their big parties, like in that Kingsman movie.

He isn’t implying anything. He is clearly stating that words without actions or follow through aren’t good enough.

generally the pro teams come when they're in town. not sure if the Sox play the Nats in DC this year, but otherwise they'll probably come when they play the Os.

like in Richie Rich where he has a McDonald's in his house, which was the dream. pretty sure McD's had a whole series of commercials in the 90s about kids having McD's in their house/school/on demand whenever they wanted.

Pats visited in April 2017 after overcoming a 28-3 deficit in the Super Bowl. WH cancelled Eagles visit last year.

football is a bit different since you're not always going to be in town to play the Skins or Ravens. all NBA and NHL teams come to DC and between the 2 baseball teams you can hit most of those in season as well.

and also we're talking about how things have normally always gone before January 2017.
 
I'm not a Clemson fan by any means but how fucking insulting is it to them for the White house to serve them mcdonald's. This team busted their ass for months, had one of the best seasons in college football history, have a coach who mentions Jesus in every other sentence, and came to DC on short notice in the fucking snow ....and the Traitor in Chief thought it would be a good idea to serve fast food hamburgers ( as well as politicize the event with his comments on the shutdown and border security). I feel bad that Clemson had to be subjected to this trash. Clemson deserves much better than this (and I never thought I would ever say that sentence).
 
the only way this could be better is if trump made the whole team go around the table and thank him for their great food

Alabama visited in April of 2018. Clemson visited in June of 2017. This is a rush job for a photo op to try to change the narrative. Look at Donald, he doesn't eat fancy meals like Libs, he hangs out with Football players and eats like we do, those Dems are the ones who are out of touch with our nation.

One of my friends made a good point about Taylor Gourmet going out of business 6 months after meeting with Trump (yes, there was more to the story and business I think wasn't great before), but....might not be a ton of DC restaurant options willing to cater? (and also he's cheap and likes fast food and is a giant man child)
 
The only part of this fast food story that was news is Trump's comments about Democrats. Had Obama served up the same spread democrats would have talked about how hip it was and pubs would have shit all over him for not being classy
Just stupid thing to make an issue of.

Maybe they don't have enough legitimate ingredients to legally be called hamburgers (like Wyngz).

The whole thing is a silly distraction from more important news, but it's so weird how hard he's leaning into this as if it is a PR boon. Also, over under on how long it takes until we learn he didn't actually pay is 2.5 weeks.
