How can you have an illegal formation on defense?
I think they rules about the number of down linemen or something like that.

That was fun to watch, watching John run an offense that was similar to his time at Wake. Hope he continues to dominate the league and get another look at the NFL.
Can't believe how much I enjoyed the AAF. It's like AAA minor league football with way faster games. Cool to see so many of these guys I recognize from college teams get another shot.
Wonder if these rules will be modified in season 2 when the OL has spent more time together.
Or do they re-draft every year OR not expect to retain players from year to year?
Players signed 3-year contracts, but they're free to sign with NFL teams if opportunity arises (which is the main goal of the league, really).

How will rosters be formed going forward? Will there be a draft after all of the NFL roster dust (mostly) settles?
Patriots not true champs unless they play the AAF champs.

If Wolford continues to play at a really high level, then he could get some serious looks from NFL teams. It's not like this is a strong draft class. He might be better than all the NFL QBs in the state of Florida, Nathan Peterman and the Redskins QBs with 2 legs.
I agree 100%. If John can keep this level of play up the rest of the season then I’m looking HARD at him if I’m Miami, Jacksonville, Cincy, Jets, Washington, and even Tampa. Obviously not a long term option for any of those teams but he could be a serviceable starter for them and win some games if they surround him with talent and field a decent defense.
