What is a semi permanent event ?

Basically a bunch of tables set up in a house or storefront. Seems like a pop up but the locations seem to be movable at need. As mentioned they sell something like baseball cards and give you a "gift" of weed/edibles/vape.

I was in LA last summer and tried to order delivery but couldn't because I wasn't medical.

There are actually a lot fewer recreational shops in LA than I expected too due to the municipal regulations around it.

It's nothing like Denver, which is over the top.

Yeah, Denver is crazy man.

You can smell it everywhere in busy areas in San Francisco.

I'm not sure if I've posted this or not.

The City Council of Huntington Beach cost the city millions upon millions of dollars by banning pot stores from HB. According to our tourist bureau, we have over 12 million annual visitors. The taxes we could get would help schools, beach, cops and lots of stuff.

The only "pot store" in HB is actually a Native American "church". They took the city to court and won saying what they distribute are religious "sacraments".

There are both high end and sort of crappy pot stores in SoCal. There are a couple of pot chains.

Hunington Beach is also getting sued by the State of California for blocking affordable housing

sweet government, HB

Yep, they won a couple of rounds against the state. It's on appeal.

One of my favorite City Council efforts was when the rebuilt the Central Library. The spent so much money on the driveway, fountains and even a fish tank that they had cut back hours of operation to make it work. A few years ago, they cut the number of cops only to find out later the overtime, etc., cost them more than keeping the cops on the force.

A former mayor was busted for using an out of date notary seal to buy, change and eventually sell apartments as condos (which is very restricted). She only did it about six dozen times.

The City Council is still very RW. This shows how crazy Dana Rorabacher is. That's the only way he'd lose his seat.

dunno if anyone vacations along 30A in NW FL, but the Red Bar burned to the ground this morning.

that sucks. i loved that place. heading down to Cape San Blas in June - apparently the house we rented is still standing.

just felt like everywhere I went there were the big-ass neon posters and over-the-top signage in every little strip shopping center

not the inside of the shops themselves, just the marketing around weed

this is from Venice Beach in LA, but shit like this is tacky:

There's a service in Japan that will send a handsome man to your house to watch sad movies with you. And then when you start to cry, they will console you and literally wipe your tears away from you.

Is it time for an official revolution to put an end to Valentines Day? Only 51% of Americans will celebrate it this year, so let's put a bullet in this stupid "holiday" forever.
