Wellman Retiring; Currie New AD

Short of buying recruits hookers and and paying for players, could we really hurt our reputation? Oh wait, schools have done this and no one cares anymore. Still getting 5 stars.

(By no means am I advocating this, just pointing ot that it's commonplace is today's NCAA and they clearly don't give a fuck.)

Currie's wife going by Mary Lawrence is perhaps the most Wake Forest thing ever

I bet everything she owns is monogrammed. Men that go by 2 names are killers and women that go by 2 names get shit monogrammed.

Ron stated the exit was finalized in November around the time of the NC State football game, and asked for the announcement to be in the spring so he wouldnt be a lame duck.

Hmmm...

Yep.

I was extremely pleased to hear Currie talk about his 5-point plan schpel where the 5th was fan experience. One, I agree with him and I have been preaching this as THE most important reason for Wellman to step aside at this time. I don't think he did a great job in that regard. Two, if fan experience is important then there just has to be a big change at the head coaching position in basketball.

the fact that Wellman had planned to step down and knew it in November sort of explains Manning not getting canned midseason.

I thought both Wellman and Currie won that newconference. Hatch, not so much. Dude is not a winning cue card reader.

I thought it was funny he listed integrity as his 3rd priority. I'm sure that's not how it was intended but still pretty un-Wakelike

What were the other three pillars? (Integrity #3 Fan Experience #5)
