Possible Wake Forest Coaching Candidates Analysis

If WF intends to keep Manning and if that has been the plan all along, they are making a terrible mistake not to say that while more and more momentum builds for a new coach. That would be a terrible administrative miscalculation. It would put Currie at a serious disadvantage as he commences his job.

This. To overreact the way he did to one sneak-in-to-the-tourney NCAA appearance when you had the best player in the ACC -- and to double down by extending him long term in the midst of an awful start to the next season -- is the height of idiocy. And that's without even bringing up [Redacted].
 
It is absolute malpractice not to have announced something one way or the other. I understand Wellman was still inquiring with staffers yesterday on what to do.

If the contract is horrific, just say so and let Currie figure it out. If Manning is due 18 million, we should know that to make his life hell and shame him into leaving.

Everybody knows fucktard (aka Wellman) doesn't operate this way and has complete disregard for the above mentioned "malpractice". The last 9 years have been bball malpractice. He will meet with Manning next week and then the announcement will be made. It was this way with both Dino & Bzdick. All depends on when their "meeting" is.
 
With the Varsity Blues scandal, I’d think Wes Miller is off the potential list. It would be bad form to hire a donors kid in this environment at a school implicated in the scandal.
