Official 2018-19 NBA Season Thread - NBA Finals Raptors Win #WeTheNorth

Jordan bell is out of the warriors rotation because he repeatedly ordered room service on the road and charged it to an assistant coach. Then, took too long to step forward when the warriors front office investigated it. True story.

Was this a prank or do NBA teams actually not cover room service when players are on the road? If it's the latter, that's stupid.

Prank. Also, NBA ratings are down big time this year. Probably cause no one cares cause of how ridiculous GSW's roster is, and big market teams sucking. While it's apparent Durant is leaving due to body language and just Draymond sucks as a person and GS will always be Steph's team..... If it wasn't for that, it'd be Adam Silver slipping him half a billion dollars on the side to leave and bring some parity.

One post on the NBA thread on a day where there's been 3 round 1 games highlights that.

Seeing the Spurs and then Pacers just fall apart late was just sad.

I like Poeltl, too. I think he'll be a starter C capable of giving the type of minutes post-Robinson Cs played during the Duncan era (i.e. Rasho, Tiago). I'd really like to see the Spurs get a bouncy PF who can defend the post.

This. There's only about 500 options, too. I mean, just get one.

Wake Forest Head Coach.

The new front runner to replace Manning may be Quin Duke Snyder.

He drafts Grayson Duke Allen.

Allen sucks, of course.

Game 1: he starts Favors and Gobert in a "traditional lineup." Everybody, including C-Webber was like "what the hell? you are playing Houston, they're going to drive and dish and splash 3's"

THEN...they roll out that force Harden right defense - and that was game 1. Blowout loss.

So, for Game 2...same. At least he figured out studs like 6'2 Daniel House, Jr. were going to run circles around Favors and he put Favors on the bench. But that was obvious prior to game 1.

Dumb. Since he drafted Grayson - it's LOL at Quin Snyder, and this series he is making such strange decisions based on game flow of getting destroyed by House, Gerald Green, Shumpert - lol.

I’ve seen mocks that have them drafting another guard. If Walker is on the Murray and White plan, he will make a big leap next year. They really don’t need a guard. In fact, they could stand to trade Mills.

The CBS Sports mock has them taking two big guards in the first. I’m fine taking a big wing but they don’t need a guard.

We probably need to resurrect or take this over to the Spurs donk thread, but yeah, letting Gay go and trading away Mills, opens up some options. I like Marcus Morris, too, to provide some toughness and 3 point shooting. Not real bouncy. If they want bouncy, maybe Bobby Portis.

Back to general NBA (sorry): the guy I like in this draft (with a machine like the Spurs to get him in shape and keep him in shape) is PJ Washington. Calipari basically went ISO with him (28/13) and he could not be guarded in that loss to Auburn.

Of course, Okeke...

Naz Reid, with a team like SA, could become a monster, imho. PJ and Naz are both projected after pick 16 right now.

Another sleeper in the second round is Azubuike.

I think they take the Western Kentucky PF/C kid or trade both their 1st round picks to move up and take the Texas center.

Looks like the Sixers getting it done without Embiid

Why the fuck did Brown take Tobias Harris out for the last three minutes when he was on fire? That was really stupid.

The Sixers need to sign Harris.

The good thing is no matter how much they spend the Sixers won't be in the repeater tax until three years from now.
