Official Champions League 2018/2019 - New & Improved: Arsenal AND Chelsea Free (NWT)

This feels worthy of bumping the official soccer thread

Champs League has delivered this year. Feel for Ajax, but damn, that was some exciting shit.

What an incredible finish. Great semifinal and quarterfinal matches.

Ajax were so composed up til this point but man was that a collapse -- every time Spurs went forward in the second half they looked like they were gonna score

I do have a few words, however: the away goals rule is, IMO, one of the dumbest in sport behind only the NFL OT rule that a TD wins, even if the other team doesn't get its hands on the ball.

So that January buy of Lucas Moura last year seems to have worked out for Spurs.

Arsenal and Chelsea advance tomorrow, and it’s an all English Euro Cups Finals. Pretty wild.

I like it

Was vad going to this? I knew someone at Anfield last night. That would have been some shit. Way to go Spurs, Pochettino is amazing. Both Liverpool and Spurs have some stones, that’s for sure.

Not even a Spurs fan, obviously, but I’m almost as wired as I was yesterday. Love Poch.

Sissoko that 2nd half was insane. Crazy that both he and Wijnaldum were on that relegated Newcastle team and end up bossing Champions League semis a couple years later.

Amazing couple of games.

With Schteve all things are possible

Even wilder - you could have 4 English teams make the UCL and UEL finals and a 5th team not in that group sweep a domestic treble and none of those 5 teams is Manchester United.

But I can’t figure it out. Could’ve sworn I read on here that the top of the PL was actually crap this year and City/Pool just beat up on cupcakes

So it’s England’s worst PL fans vs. America’s worst PL fans for the CL title

Probably gonna sit this one out

Cup runs are a great indicator of the quality of a side and especially more so than league form.

Hey DV7, remember when I was all broken up over Chelsea beating Munich in Munich - knocking 4th place Spurs outta the CL - before Tuffalo's wedding?

Football, man.
