Totally Unofficial 2019/2020 Premier League Thread (NWT)

Barca is more than a club so I doubt they would do anything nefarious like that. Just proper people, that lot.

yeah, they probably don't call people "lot" or use "proper" all the time since they don't live in a country that says those words in that way.

yep, those are the important distinctions to discuss when talking about your hypocritical club. Sure.

It's just like any other club. In it for the money and success.

Spurs reportedly about to GAZUMP arsenal for 18yo French CB William Saliba. I know nothing about the kid but I do know this would be hilarious and, therefore, I'm all for it.

Thank you for agreeing with me.

yes, they are a club that wants to win and make money. #breakingnews

yes, like most other big clubs, they've done some shady business with players and with sponsors. in their case, Qatar. hardly the only ones, and it's something you have to put up with if you want to follow a major team.

the phrase is not just about charity work or operating benevolently as you seem to think. it has to do with the club being a symbol of Catalan identity and patriotism, which was abolished during Franco's reign. you go to the stadium and all the announcements and other things are in Catalan. they wear the senyera or Catalan flag on their shirts, the captain's armband, etc.

Fabian Delph to Everton?

I just don't get it

We extended Smalling (in December) and Jones (February) and then bring in Maguire as well?

There is just no cohesive plan at all in terms of player personnel. Only way this makes a little bit of sense is if Lindelof really is going to be sold to Barca or somewhere else this summer.

Just stupid.
