2020 Democratic Presidential Nominees

i know because of the format it seemed like the ire was directed at this overturned turtle laying on its back, but warren was really talking shit on half the stage with this

 
I really like Mayor Pete. He is just so well spoken and is able to put his point together without getting 'ruffled'. I think he would kill Trump in a debate...kill!
 
What’s the evidence that Donald would dominate Bernie or Warren beyond people just thinking it will happen?

Doubtful she gives that up for a Veep slot.

I cannot imagine a debate more tailored for the ChrisL candidates, wherein every question was framed "Sanders and Warren want to do things, Senator Centrist, please tell us why that's a bad idea." As it turns out it's tough to craft a cohesive answer to those except to say "In my [red/purple state] we have lots of [farmers/manufacturing workers/white ppl] so I know what it means to compromise on kitchen table issues." That message plays precisely to the one rural independent trying to figure stuff out in Kansas and all tax accountants in Greensboro.
 
 
I wouldnt spend much time worrying about how any of these folks are going to do against Trump in a debate - he's not going to debate them. His rallies and twitter are all he needs to reach his base.

A combination of both. Warren or Biden would need someone younger and of color for VP. I don't think Harris would take VP unless there was a firm promise that Biden wouldn't run again.

The evidence is that the GOP would destroy either Bernie or Warren as socialists and tax grabbers. They would spend hundreds of millions on freaking people out about losing their insurance and paying higher taxes (regardless of the fact that actual costs should be less of taxes plus insurance+deductible vs. taxes).

Whether the elite on this board like it or not paying off college debt as a major plank in a Dem candidate is a huge bonus to Trump. As of now 33.4% of Americans are college graduates. Of those 70% have college debt. This means such a program would impact only 25% or so of the American public. This would be used to enrage the other 75% of the public. The GOP would spend well into nine figures to alienate that 75%. The will say, "Why should Joe Six Pack pay off the debts of people who make more money than you?" and "They knew what they were getting into. Why should you pay it off for them?" This would be a devastating attack.

Each of these positions could wipe out the advantage Dems have over Trump.

Add on top, "socialist", "socialist", "socialist" and there is little chance either could win.

Trump's debate strategy against Warren would be just to reply "Whatever you say, Pocahontas" while doing the jerkoff motion
