Wake Forest Football Recruiting

Does he really believe college coaches did not try to fight this? Wake will have lost 3 opportunities in a row to evaluate HS players during games, alienate their own and HS fan bases, and have the normal flow of the season disrupted. Lose your job and your staffs, get kicked out of the conference? Who want this guy to coach their kids- or grand kids- with the level of maturity. Twitter- really? I guess he could be President. Friday night football sucks, Thursday night bites, and Wake is being unduly punished this year.

If those high schools were getting ESPN$$$ to play on Tuesday at 6:30 am, they'd take it.

Not sure how to embed a tweet but Conor just quote tweeted a tweet from Coach Snow at West Forsyth: "I hope that every College Football 🏈 team that plays on Fridays - LOSE!!!! Sad that this is happening and it’s all about ☝️ thing, they are selling themselves for the almighty dollar 💵 Coach Snow ❄️ West Forsyth #FridayNightLights #Fridaysforhighschoolfootball #SAD"

I'm sure this just a rally cry. But this is a pretty dumb tweet. He does realize there are obligations that are required to fulfill as part of joining a conference? The players, fans, and coaches don't want to lose. Dumb to be tweeting that in the position he is considering one of his players plays for Wake, and a couple others being recruited by Wake/UNC.

"You have given out too much Reputation in the last 24 hours, try again later."

There should probably be a level of concern for a football coach who thinks when teams play each other, both can lose.

Yep. And high school football has enjoyed, what I believe is, unmatched reverence relative to other sports. I am not aware that college basketball and college baseball schedule around high school schedules. Admittedly, it is easier to schedule around a single game weekly. Also, aren't hs football playoffs games sometimes held on weekends/non-Fridays? Is that not during the college/pro season? Seems HS is willing to schedule games on college/pro days when it meets their needs.

Just got a commitment from Nigel Williams, the CB from Virginia. We beat out UCLA.
Welcome Nigel.

Only Sat due to weather cancellations. You should have stopped your logic at "easier to schedule around single game weekly."

Are you only referring to North Carolina? We have playoff games scheduled on Saturdays in California.

Did he actually receive an offer from UCLA? If so, that's great news. In your FACE Chip Kelly!

Sure sounded like he was all set to go to UCLA until he realized mom and dad couldn't easily come to see him play.
