Triad restaurant comings, goings and recs

Ledo's is open in Kernersville. There was one in Greenville, NC but it closed down years ago, I think the franchisee went bankrupt.

Also, the Big Burger Spot in Kernersville is open. It's across the street from the Lowe's Foods shopping center, back side of the old strip retail spot where Papa John's was located.

Stopped by the new Dough-Joe's brick & mortar location in Reynolda Village on Sunday for doughnuts and a latte. If you haven't tried them yet, go. The food truck was started by two recent Wake grads a couple years back and the doughnuts are so unbelievably good it's not even fair

Hopefully the brick and mortar will stay open even if it's not 80° and sunny. Smh

The doughnuts are good though

How so? They are still going into the old Shell station at West end. Just taking forever

Ah, gotcha now, that's what I get for responding in the car at a stoplight and not really thinking about what I was reading

When you go for sushi in Greensboro:

El Camino Real on Spring Garden Street is really good Mexican. Sometimes they have other ethnic specials. Had an El Salvadoran dish that was really good.

Do not have much faith in Dave to execute on a poke restaurant. He has done pizza and pub food pretty well, but his last attempt at something different (Buzzys) was kind of awful.

The real question is, will he be a dick about Joymongers parking when his restaurant is closed.

Mission Pizza named top 101 pizza in the US (#94) by some publication.

Ah, I was wondering if that Dave guy was that same guy that I read about on these here boards about that parking lot thing. It was supposed to be "State Fair" food or something?

They need to make that building an I Can't Believe It's Yogurt shop again, like it was in my youth when I could just walk down the street or go after walking back from Prince's On The Park.

Yeah. Buzzys was like State Fair/Carnival food. I only tried it once and got a Fried Chicken Sandwich to go and it was legit one of the worst chicken sandwiches I've had in my life. Think they had major kitchen/service issues. Very surprising considering Quiet Pint's general consistency (and obviously Burke St fills its niche perfectly)
