A real football culture has a full stadium at the start of the game. We're not there yet. We were better today than for Louisville and FSU, but some of that was because there were a good number of NCSU fans at the game and because the weather was nicer.
Clawson is way too smart to call out the fans, but you can tell the lack of people in the stands gets to him. That's why he says stuff like, "we thank the fans that were there" or "we thank the fans that stayed until the end."
Clawson has built a program that we should strongly support. If the stands were full and people were also partying in the lot the entire game, that would be great. But that's not the case. We should strive for a full stadium at the start of the game.
