Just want to note -- reading through Jack Allison's tweet history, that guy's a huge whiny, too cool for school douche. Another example of not seeing the forest for the trees, and just generally being anti, for anti-'s sake. Hopefully, you're not as cynical and terrible, Townie.

Is this an acquaintance? Some one you hang out with? Or just some one you've met? I just want to set the parameters of this discussion be fore I respond to the context.
 
I've known he and his family for about 33 years. We've done business together, had meals, talk at least once a week (as recently as yesterday morning) when we aren't away. How's that?

Not to be too whiny and cynical, but this kinda feels like hanging your hopes on Mueller or the NCAA w/UNC all over again. The bent of the universe is not towards justice.

Sure, if you're depending on the wealthy white guys worried about their money. Any hope I have is on the voters. Yes, I know that's almost as foolish.

That may be true, but the attitude of that whiny douche doesn't help anything. If more people were as rightfully up in arms as they should be, and not caring more about changes to shadowing in Return of the Jedi and the aspect ratio on the Simpsons in Disney plus or Buttigieg's position on Medicare for all than Trump clearly conditioning an ally's receipt of approved funds during wartime on their sham publicly announced investigation of a political oppnent, the tide might turn.
