There’s a reason bad programs stay bad. We’re a poverty franchise and we just have to come to grips with it I guess because nobody with any semblance of power wants it to change or is willing to change it.

Change doesn’t happen overnight. Let’s see how the season turns out and what happens in March. Is that really so unreasonable?
 
I just saw an interview with Danny on TV. He showed more personality and a greater sense of humor than any interview that I have seen thus far. I have no idea what that means, probably nothing.
 
Would Darnell Rogers deserve time start for WF if he were on the team?
 
Nah RChill knew about advanced stats. This cat is either an oblivious troll on that front or someone else - doesn't strike me as RChill's style at all.

I give up. I’m going to stop responding to these little comments.

I have quite a few friends and family back in W-S that feel the same way I do, but would never spend any time on these boards to try and present an opposing point of view. That’s all I’m doing here is showing another way of thinking. You have spent so long just repeating and echoing the same mentality, that anyone with another point of view is instantaneously criticized and deemed a “troll/parody/shill/etc/etc.” So, if you want to keep up with the divide and live in a bubble, then by all means go on with this mentality. Or, you could start to not chase off any other new poster that might have a different opinion. You might discover that in the end, we all want the same thing.

Am I happy with the state of the basketball program? Absolutely not. One of my favorite memories with my father was visiting home and him surprising me with tickets he was given to the 1995 ACC tournament. Danny Manning is probably going to be gone at the end of the season, but public slander and obscenities tossed at the AD and Nathan Hatch are way out of line and does your cause more harm than good. I think Clawson is doing a great job building up this program and hope he stays for at least a few more years. We continue to recruit well and eventually, we can compete with Clemson and any other powerhouse football school for that matter.

I want the same thing you do. I just have a different way of going about and doing it.
 
I have a big network of Wake friends/fans/alumni who follow basketball very closely and I don't know a single person who supports Danny or the administration. I mean not a single one. So excuse me for believing that anyone would watch the same shit for six years that we've seen and believe that Danny should be the coach. It's a fucking idiotic position. On here attacking people who feel passionately about the program because of the decade of piss poor leadership for wanting an outlet just doesn't make any sense.

And at this point I don't believe that anyone who doesn't criticize Danny consistently while also pointing out how poor our administration and AD have done in placing this program in a winning position does want the same thing the rest of the fan base wants. You want change while kowtowing to those in power and that's not how change happens. You're content with having a fun experience watching Wake basketball and if the Deacs win that's a fun bonus. That's a fine position to take but don't expect to come onto a website with a passionate fanbase and expect people to be buddy buddy with you for preaching politeness and an "aw shucks I'm sure change will come" attitude.
 
Not to mention you came on here saying "Mr. Wellman" as deferential treatment and attempted to make the argument (completely unsubstantiated by fact) that we just happen to be stuck with Danny Manning without any attributable blame to the administration.

The AD and administration is a total joke to 90%+ of the Wake fanbase who closely follows Wake sports.
 
Even DeacFan01 from the other board finally came to the realization that Danny Manning can't coach his way out of a paper bag. I really don't know what it would take.

Even the truest of true believers are coming around to reality. That dude has been going to games the whole time, and finally, after the Charlotte game, he realized that he "cannot see any way this group can improve enough to compete in the ACC this year, or any year with the current staff in place."
