Pinstripe Bowl vs Michigan State

Goes to show you that students will support winning teams.

We will have more students travel to NY for our bowl game than we’ve had at home basketballs games in a decade.

We also have tons of students home for the holidays that live in the Northeast. Perfect setup for us to have a good turnout.

8-10k wake fans expected is just through the wfu ticket office right? My guess is there will be another 5k at least who don't purchase through wfu. I wonder how many msu fans will show up? I'm guessing we have more numbers

Wondering how MSU’s turnout will be. Remember well that Texas A&M (a school with tens of thousands of students) had fewer than 1,000 fans at the Belk Bowl after what they considered a disappointing season.

I think people underestimate how undesirable Charlotte is as a bowl destination for non-local teams. And I say that as a native of the area and big fan of the city.

I think the only place less desirable than Charlotte for non-local teams is Detroit. As luck would have it, the ACC is tied into both. Speaks volumes about leadership, or the lack thereof, in the conference office.

Kinda looks like a black and gold version of the Michigan helmet.
This should help fire up the Michigan State team.

I’m pretty sure this is the generic ACC pinstripe bowl jersey and helmet. I’m sure they have one for the Big Ten as well.

I read an article in which the best Michigan State pass rusher, who is expected to be an early pick in the NFL draft, is playing in the bowl. As are some other graduating players with good NFL draft prospects. Supposedly they want to redeem their mediocre 6-6 season.

Meaning what? That every ACC & B1G team does this for this game? That would be odd.

Either way this makes me realize that I have never once watched the pinstripe bowl.

Same here. Not sure why.

Pretty sure Dook won it a couple of years ago on a horrible call on a late FG.
Replayed today on ACCN. The IU kicker kicked it directly above the upright, and it was called wide right. Apparently FGs are not reviewable if they're higher than the upright.

I think its a generic uniform that is created by the bowl and is used for marketing alongside the schools uniform. The jersey lists the Pinstripe Bowl on it, which I can't imagine each school doing for one game.
