2019-20 College Basketball Thread

State apparently didn't get the memo that there is 1 reason the short white guy was in the game.

Wow. I admittedly haven’t seen much of state this year, but man that is a dumb team. From watching I think they have enough talent to be in the top 4 of this crap conference, but have zero chemistry and Markel is the main culprit. Dude is a ball stopper, dribbles the ball until the ball itself loses its spherical shape, has low basketball/awareness IQ, and throws up wild difficult shots. Quite shocking to see from a senior PG.

Might want to catch a little game action before you put any scratch behind one of those "feelings." Good coach, good talent, some brain dead decisions. Fully expected better with that experience.

Cole hits a 3 to cut the deficit to 7 against BC and he proclaims multiple times, “I’M BACK!”

Lol

BC gets a road win at chapel hill. Everyone’s getting their pound of flesh from shitty UNC team this year. Except us, they’ll beat us by 30.

It never gets old seeing the holes lose. Cole came back today for a sure win so the team would think they were back. Loved every minute of the game.

Manning never recruits good white players:cam:

Who Manning recruits was not remotely my point. My point was that McMahon does 1 thing - he hits 3s. When you're playing a team with 1 really good outside shooter, you may want to consider taking away his air space. As bad as the rest of the ACC is, State should be significantly better than the wrong side of the bubble team they are based on their talent level.

Good coach? Seriously?

Yup. Seriously. What am I missing?
131–60 college record, 72-28 @ UNCW, 29-6 his last year. 59-32 @ NCSU.
In Keatts' first season at UNCW he was named CAA Conference Coach of the Year after leading the Seahawks to their first conference championship in nine years, and first winning season in seven years. Then 3/3 as CAA Conf Champs.
Keatts is the first Wolfpack head coach to defeat Duke, North Carolina, and Wake Forest in his first attempt since Tal Stafford during the 1918–19 season. After being projected to finish 12th in the ACC, Keatts led the Wolfpack to a tied for third-place finish in the conference, as well as earning an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
I'll admit he has some headcases now but I believe he can coach.

UNC has missed 13 of the last 14 shots vs FSU.
Still, only a 2 point lead for FSU.

UNC went 11 minutes without a FG.
It was great to watch.

cheater hill in the basement with Danny's Deacs now.

Misery loves company.

Yeah, it was not a terribly well played game by either team - at least the ACC is consistent in its mediocrity. But it is nice to watch UNC suffer.
