Official 2020 NBA Offseason - First Half Season Schedule Out

James Johnson did not play last night so I assume he is in the trade for gallinari. Should get lots of minutes.

He and Steve Adam's will forge the biggest badass front court in the nba

I think James Johnson and Kelly Olynk are going to OKC for Galinari. I think OKC has to push Ferguson to Memphis. The Iggy trade becomes a three-team trade ...

looks like JJ would be going to Memphis, not OKC

Then Winslow goes to OKC?

I like JJ in Memphis. He had a productive year there resurrecting his career 6 or 7 years ago. He essentially made $60mil off a 2 month dynamic jump in production in Memphis the last time he was there. Living in Memphis though. It ain't Miami.

from the Pelton ESPN+ article:

Winslow, James Johnson and Dion Waiters -- who were pulled from the Heat's lineup before Wednesday's game against the LA Clippers and would presumably be headed to Memphis as matching salary -- have played a combined 675 minutes this season.

Naw man. Iggy's salary cap hit is $17. Waiters is $12, Johnson is $15, and Winslow is $13. You read that article too literally. They are all likely moving as part of the trade to net them Galinari AND Iggy. Some of those contracts have to go to OKC and there is the possibility that Memphis throws in Solomon Hill etc in the 3-team scenario. If this was just a 2-team trade, it'd already be done and fully announced.

article goes on to say, re: Memphis

If this is a three-team trade ...

... I have a much tougher time seeing Memphis' motivation. If Crowder and Solomon Hill are headed to the Thunder, that means the Grizzlies are taking back an additional $29 million in 2020-21 salary between Johnson and Waiters, who have both been deactivated much of the season due to conditioning (Johnson) and conduct detrimental to the team (Waiters).

Unless Memphis is getting something else good out of the deal, I'd rather keep Crowder for a run at the No. 8 seed and deal Iguodala for whatever value I could get elsewhere.

you could be right, but Pelton's thinking seems to be JJ to Memphis

looks like a two-team trade for now

Warriors, what are you doing?

Wasn’t expecting that at all. The healthy Warriors will be a contender but it will be interesting to see how Wiggins fits. The picks and a high pick this year will help as well.

Heat getting rid of two bad contracts in exchange for Iggy and 2 expiring deals is pretty strong, although I haven't been paying attention to how good Justice Winslow has been

Drummond to Cleveland for two second round picks.

Russell to T'wolves for Wiggins, next year's #1 and a #2. Wiggins???

And Minnesota joins the Memphis deal (rather than OKC I guess) and THEY get James Johnson and send Dieng to ... Memphis I suppose

I'm still kinda surprised the Warriors took Wiggins rather than trying for Dieng & Covington early. Their contracts are shorter than Wiggins and they are more needed for next year than a #3 option who is a max deal.

Supposedly Marques Morris is going to Clippers. Why? He's a pain in the ass. The only thing can do is shoot a bit better than Patterson or Trez.

I am still shocked the Knicks didn't hire Jaybone to run the franchise.
