That's not an excuse. It's simple declarative statement. In an email entitled Wake Forest Crisis Response Fund, Hatch just announced a hiring freeze. So as I said, Currie couldn't fire Manning and hire a new basketball coach NOW if he wanted to.
 
So in other words Currie has been such a pussy about this for 11 months , unable to make a decision like a dithering Hamlet, that he has effectively let someone else make the decision for him. What a complete lack of leadership.
 
I want results not excuses, if Currie cant get results then they fire his ass and find a new AD.

Hatch is a piece of shit as well who destroyed our bball program. The events going on in the world do not give him a pass, nor do they give Currie a pass.

He’s had 11 months, the freeze will be over in a month, bball doesnt start till 8 months, if Manning is still our coach in 8 months then Currie should be fired.

I'm more of the opinion that it starts at the top. If manning is not gone when the next season begins, whenever that is, hatch should be gone. Currie then can prove he is his own man. Or he can be gone as well.

I read nothing in his email indicating the hiring freeze will be over in a month, but I'm sure Hatch will take your views under advisement.
 
Is there also a firing freeze? There is a lot of work that could be done to be ahead of the curve when the hiring freeze is lifted.

*Manning would already be fired. Let him search for the next team he can screw up
*Currie could have already done all of the legwork prior to having a new coaching candidate at least ready to make a campus visit and possibly hire.

Maybe he has done a lot of the legwork to prepare for a new coach. Who knows? I think RJ is right...if he KNEW DFL were going to remain he would have already said something. Right now Currie is just dragging this fanbase through Hell.

Also interesting that DFL had to hide a bunch of responses from his tweet last night. I don't know how to post that and don't feel like figuring out how to do that right now.

C'mon Currie. It is way past time to let everyone know something.
