No Dem has any clue what's achievable with a Biden Presidency, beyond EOs, under a Republican Senate. We can't even manage Joe Manchin or Krysten Sinema.

And this is one of the big issues that I have with the Biden/Pelosi/Shumer strategy right now. Where is the fucking vision? I get that we're all in quarantine and that corona is especially dangerous to the senior citizens that currently control the party, but like y'all gotta be leaders right now. Fucking lead. Propose some shit. Do some shit. Say some shit that isn't tone deaf and infuriating. Y'all won not fucking do something!
 
What are the supposed to do? The house has passed a shit ton of Bill's that will never get a vote under mcconnell. Are those not progressive enough? Obviously I am not aware of them all. Just curious if there is something specific you might have in mind. Are you thinking more about how they should be messaging their platform? Creating a better one? Creating a selling their vision? (All honest - I'm not sure I have the answer - questions)

Maybe give us a sense of what those achievable policy objectives are going to be once Trump is out of the White House? Maybe working to get some momentum for more progressive (or simply less absurdly inadequate) stimulus bills once they get back to work? I mean, they're just doing nothing, deaconson. They're doing nothing and saying nothing, and hoping that Biden =/= Trump is enough of a message to carry him to the White House. That might have been less offensive in 2016, but we're in the midst of a global pandemic and economic meltdown that's hitting the Democratic base especially hard. Any modicum of leadership would do. And I'm not a centrist. I see centrism as a "do nothing beyond bare minimum social reproduction of the status quo" ideology. If there are ideas, then now would be the time to prove me and progressives wrong. Or simply like, idk, lead? Inspire? There's not much of that coming out of Washington these days.
 
Don't disagree with much of what you said. The old guard democratic leadership has not done well. They really have been terrible with messaging. I agree they sure seem to be sitting back and allowing donnie dolt to ruin his chances rather than beat him straight up. His lies should be exposed with video evidence over and over. Hunter biden? Here's the list of administration official's family that is benefiting off this administration. I do worry, and wonder if, that fatigue has set in and they have a plan to put in place strategically closer to the election... naaaaa

He's created a great ad about Trump's failure on Covid.

I hope they eviscerate the Trump family make them each look Marie Antoinette and Robert Hanssen on steroids.
 
As much as I would like to pontificate and bullshit like normal about what Biden needs to do to defeat Trump, this Pandemic has shuffled the deck. I have no clue what voters are going to do. These electoral circumstances are unprecedented.
 
The Dems and their SuperPACS need to spend well into nine figures in PA,FL, MI, TX, OH, AZ, WI, NC to say Trump is trying to keep people of color from voting. They need to hammer this home relentlessly starting in late-August.

There should even be an ad about how many people of color got Covid in WI due Republicans making them line up to vote in the cold and with Covid around them. Dying to Vote should be the title.

Hillary and the DNC wussed out on this. It needs to be a HUGE issue this time. It could help turn the Senate as well.
