Stephen King Mafia - Civs Stage Comeback for W

If it were me in that role then I would just lay low unless I was in danger, at least through the first couple of nights to see what all is going on. There are god knows how many night hits out there that are not good.

Thinking through it a little more - this could be a good way to come out as an Indy where he's going to be making hits throughout the game. Would get ahead of the questions later on where multiple people are dying at night.

Either way I don't think he's somebody we want hanging around for a long time.

1) wifom on something pointless
2) useless speculation on night hits
3) useless accusation about being Indy
4) soft allegation vs jman

After scrolling through that, I still feel ok with my gooner vote.

Other reasonable choices, in order:
Gouda
Tejas
Ryala
Rommy
Da

Gouda - 117
Tejas - 118
Ryala - 81
Rommy - 75
Da - 65

Gooner - 79

These 6 have the most posts in the game and WFU03 just goes ahead and lists them all. That's either mafia just trying to post without any substance and see what sticks or extremely lazy/-EV civ play.

tejas 5 - Numbers tic mako tim parlay
doofus 4 - ryala rommy da gouda
mako 2- Toogs Tejas
Romanov 2 - ph, Manning
gooner 2 - WFU03 jtp
Ph 2 - Townie damo
Numbers 1- d14
parlay 1- Jman
Gat 1 - knight
JMan 1 - doofus
Knight 1 - nonny
damo 1 - bym

I thought everyone was familiar with my stance on this by now, but I guess not. Shitclouding day 1 is negative EV civ play. Much more so than a slightly weird intro post.

I would vote for Eagles for his saturday start if I could.

I don't think I've heard this. Please elaborate.

When we have nothing else to go on and no game stuff to discuss, why is more posting (i.e., shitclouding) by people bad?

Great Ill vote Eagles with you

The point however remains that the game was open. Not playing or refusing to post is immensely more harmful for civs. Posts = substance for civs to make judgements. Lack of posts or hiding means civs dont get chance to evaluate.

The idea is to identify roles and information helps with that. Therefore, some information is good. However, when people post so much that it causes others to stop reading and/or engaging with all of the posts, then that's too much information. People love to say mafia tends to be quiet, but it seems to be like it's easier to get into late games as mafia if you shitcloud so people can't find your weird posts.

To use a metaphor, we're thirsty for reads at this stage in the game. A drop of water doesn't help much, but a firehose of water to the face doesn't either. Early in the game, some people policy lynch quiets; I policy lynch shitclouders.

Also, how the fuck are there over 1000 posts already?!!? You people are lunatics.

townie trying so hard to be present but not talk

Looking at the list you provided - do you believe those people would be more willing to post as mafia and as civ, they would have posted less?

If not, then you're pushing for a policy lynch on mostly quality players.
If so, then you should be pushing specifically for that person (or those people).
