2020 Presidential Election: Biden v. Trump

So build a political party from the ground up? That's how we get the fascists winning with 40% of the vote. Congratulations. This smug holier than thou bullshit is just going to make things worse.

Well give me evil Joe Biden every day of the week and twice on Sunday then because I sure as hell am not going "both sides" this shit when it comes to a chance of getting rid of Donald Trump. Evil Joe Biden for the win!

The good news is we’ve got him!

We just have to hope that the current keeps flowing left because if white liberal zeitgeist is once again defined by the brutality inflicted on poor communities of color, then we’re in for a doozy. Dudes name is on every bill. Joe Biden from Delaware.

Yeah you have a broad definition of evil, just basically painting broad strokes like you’re a small religion and everyone that doesn’t conform to that religion is going to hell.

Definitely like that.

Y’all don’t know many non-white people, huh.

This is honestly one of the most pathetic whatabouts that I’ve seen outside of Brad on this board. Concern trolling about anti-semitism when you haven’t even watched the damn Biden video.

Hate to break it to you but fascism is already here and it’s not the fault of radical grassroots organizers.

Struggling to see how “join a local grassroots organization” is “smug holier than thou bullshit.”

Endless war, immigrant children in cages, deporting families, no knock raids, three strikes, and disenfranchisement brought to you by a bipartisan committee of tough on crime, nativist assholes

That’s not what the tweet says.

Then it doesn’t answer my question about how to challenge a two party system without winning elections in the two party system.

It’s really not. I get your perspective, strick, I was there in that mental space not too long ago. We used to live in a world where choosing between the Dem candidate and the GOP candidate was a choice between two evil entities but one was slightly less distasteful than the other. If Joe were running against Jeb Bush you’d be right about all of this. But the GOP has cratered our county and politics to a new circle of hell and a far more dangerous kind of evil. There is literally a barely closeted fascist in the White House. The fascist is rooting out all opposition from all levels of government by calling it the “deep state” and firing all the independent over seers. There are non-zero probabilities that Barr will have Obama and Clinton and Podesta arrested in October. Always punch the Nazis, right? Yeah we need to hold Biden and the Dems to some standards but we can’t also lose perspective on what the GOP is, a power at all costs fascist organization.

It does. Build up consensus at the local level and win elections there. Folks who are successful there move on to higher offices, presumably with a record of positive accomplishments. Keep going up the chain.

Pubs have been doing it, without positive accomplishments, for decades now.

I just mean the use of one candidate’s anti-semitism to legitimize the other candidate’s racism is a pathetic whatabout. The response on here to Trump’s pretty obvious unending stream of anti-semitism has been disappointing to me to say the least. Is agree with the rest of your post, but the point about casual racism on the campaign trail and in the Oval Office can be made without pretending to give a shit about anti-semitism.

ETA: and Ph is telling on himself by posting that because I didn’t hear from him either when we discussed that awful Trump-Ford quotation.

That would require getting off the internet and organizing, though. It’s hard.

Pubs have been doing it. “It” being winning elections in a two party system.

How does that tweet explain how to break the two party system without winning elections in a two party system?
