Hopefully I'm wrong, but given all that we've seen over the past four years, I find it difficult to believe that as we get closer to election day and things heat up, that at least 90% of Republicans won't end up voting for Trump. They'll rationalize it somehow, probably by comparing him to something supposedly awful or socialist or radical that Biden or Pelosi or Obama or some other Democrat has said or done. Maybe things have really changed over the past three months, but when it comes to crunch time I think they'll vote for Dear Leader yet again.

No idea if trump would dump pence or lil mikey wants out. I do know that trump already delivered the Christian-evangelical base that trump needs. They anointed him lord and savior so pence leaving for any reason is god's will.
 
Also, the right only needed someone (fuck you mike) to introduce him as a good christian. That allowed every christian (that wanted to) to happily stop fretting about the reality of trump -looking at you lindsay, ted etc- and put all that aside and pivot to the "god uses imperfect vessels" bs to allow them to justify everything.
 
Evangelicals like Trump because they are drawn to authoritarianism. It has nothing to do with him being a good Christian or not. It’s in their DNA to follow a strong figurehead preaching absolutism with no gray areas.

To what degree is their desire to end abortion the driving force of their cult like worship of trump? I guess if you think thousands of babies are being murdered it’s pretty easy to look past grabbing a few pussies.

How's this for drinking the kool-aid: trump drops pence for... ivanka. Someone could conjure up that biden is also a secret muslim like obama to deliver evangelicals and then he can double down on his brand with his daughter.
