2020 Presidential Election: Biden v. Trump

E-V.com today had speculation that it's down to Harris or Rice for veep. If that's the case, I really hope it's Rice.

I think Rice would be a fine VP, but then you play right into the energize the base Benghazi deep state stuff from the right.

well the leftist criticisms of Harris about being a cop won't be reflected on the right

Biden should pick whomever the Bernie fuckers tell him to.

So there's legit 0 chance for my girl Warren, right?

Warren was my choice for the top of the ticket, but IMO she'd be more powerful as something other than a VP. Still hoping for Duckworth as VP. I also like Bass, although this seems like the wrong year to run someone named Karen.

Duckworth is still my top pick, though I really like Rice as well. Sure, Tucker and Hannity will rant about Benghazi, but they're just preaching to their base, and I don't see that hurting the ticket. E-V.com had a good analysis this morning of her as veep. As for Bass, if you believe the Axios report, she took herself out of the running this past weekend. Agree as to Warren not being a good veep alternative. She's needed more in the senate, and I think she'd be frustrated with the position.

Warren would be an awesome AG imo, but I'd definitely take her as majority leader too.

That was the subject of convo between friends recently--which one has more direct influence on more people's day to day lives: Senate Majority Leader or Attorney General?

well it's a good question in the Trump era. on the one hand, you've got McConnell refusing to bring to a vote any of the bills the House has passed over the past year or so but then you've got Barr sending out those unmarked cops to the protests actively detaining people.

This. Democrats need to stop fretting about what Republicans might think. Republicans hate all Democrats.

We were told that the reason we couldn't nominate Bernie is that the right would label him a socialist and here we are with "Radical leftist" Joe Biden labels. It doesn't matter who the VP is as far as the GOP is concerned, they are already a nightmarish mix of Chairman Mao and Stalin and Hitler.

Kamala is the perfect fit because neither Democrats or Republicans give a shit about the terrible things she's done.

That's interesting. Senate majority leader is more powerful. You don't serve at the pleasure of the president, and you're in control of everything coming out of the Senate. Plus, the AG doesn't call you into his office to be questioned, you call the AG into yours. Would much rather be majority leader than AG. Power isn't the same as direct influence, but I think they go hand in hand.

Those attacks don't seem to be gaining much traction with the electorate.
