Yeah, well, just keep excusing and justifying looting and rioting. Social justice will surely be the result this time.
Yeah, well, I'll just keep excusing and justifying systematic
racism and police brutality. Social justice will surely be the result this time.

Well this is fucking insane - NYPD harassed an activist at his apartment for six hours, without a warrant. Surrounded the apartment, shut down the block, drones, everything. WITH NO WARRANT!
Call me crazy, but I seriously doubt the "Freeloading = Acceptable" mantra over here would be consistently applied if white Covington Catholic kids wearing MAGA hats were the ones looting the Apple Store.
You're right, I wouldn't apply the same judgement to upper middle class whites looting as I do poor African American communities, because of 400 years of history.
wow checkmate IMO
sry mdmh
You also are seeing African Americans looting and assuming they are poor just because their black.
Which is racist as fuck IMO.
oh no, you got me with "the soft bigotry of low expectations." dont i feel shitty for generalizing a mass of looters as poor. Surely many of them are successful professionals. Very respectful of you to point that out.You also are seeing African Americans looting and assuming they are poor just because their black.

It’s basically the Boston Tea Party over and over again except those who are doing it don’t want to declare independence and don’t want a violent revolution. They just want equality under the law. Yet that’s a bridge too far for many people.
I'm sure I just missed it, but don't recall many of the "social protesters" in these communities taking items from stores and dumping them in the harbor...or where the colonists took the tea over to Southie and fenced it.
kinda blows my mind that anyone would be surprised by looting and the like given the conditions of the black underclass in the America caste system

Obviously things can improve tremendously in comparison to how they are now, meaning access to healthcare, shelter, food, and clean water through out this country and more so the world. With that said I see no future where there is not some stratification of having more than others, how much that is and what that is always subject to change but will exist.
