Wake Forest football 2020 outlook

Hartman more muscle but still small frame compared to Newman....and Newman got hurt 3 times last year....but do agree with the bold above....which begs the question, Why did Clawson not put Hartman in with time to actually win the Michigan St. game?

Because he wanted to lose? STFU. In Claw We Trust.

Looks like Gameday is headed to Winston! Even though no fans, still should be a lot of fun watching from the couch.

If true, huge exposure for Wake, regardless of no fans present. Our strong student COVID results, and apparent lack of significant cases on the football team makes for an upbeat story (knock on wood). Unless Clawson has a dream year in the future, this was probably our best chance to host.

Will likely wind in Forbes and the b-ball program— Paul or Duncan as guest picker??

yeah, but I'd also rather have gameday when our fans aren't outnumbered by opposing fans so this is probably for the best

Sciba makes the ESPN preseason All-America team.

Watch out for Taylor Morin. I've been hearing since he stepped on campus that when his number is called he will way outplay his recruiting ranking.

That depth chart does not particularly inspire confidence

Looks about right. Add Suratt, Terrence Davis and Bothroyd and it would look much better. I really hope we get Davis healthy. He'd be the highest rated(out of HS) OL we've ever had. Really, though, not having Surratt is what stands out the most. Otherwise, looks about how we thought it would.

DL will be great. LB should be solid and DB's might struggle. Hartman will have our offense flowing after a couple weeks, even without Sage.

Need Perry or Groulx to be reliable, preferably both. Teams will game plan for Greene and if we have guys opposite side of him who can make plays then I don't see a huge offensive decline. I'm discounting this upcoming week from my comments.

Also, I expect Morin to split reps with Roberson once we get a few weeks in. That is unless Roberson makes a big jump from last year.

What were you looking for, but did not find?

No Terence Davis, no Trey Rucker. Roberson has not improved enough to hold the slot job by himself. Masterson at safety instead of rover.

This team is going to really struggle. An OL in flux, a passing game that has 1 receiver that has proven anything, corner backs that are flat scary. This was not the year to remove BC and villanova from the schedule.

Wasn't expecting tFR Jahmal Banks to get an "or" with 5th year grad transfer Donald Stewart as backup WR. That's interesting.

This is an experienced squad except for WR and CB and a true frosh at long snapper. Jacob Zuhr. Hopefully we won't mention him again until Senior Day.
