Saudi World Golf Tour 2022/2023 Thread

Goodness, he's going to miss the fairway by a mile on #2 and have another 10-footer for birdie....don't think this is a sustainable strategy for 18 holes, but working so far!

I know that this has been said ad naseum, but Jesus DeChambeau is a large individual.

It's not unusual for the toughness of the US Open course to be played up all week and then the scores in the 1st and even 2nd rounds to be much lower than expected. Usually unless the conditions become very soft and benign, the course will show it's teeth over the weekend. Patience

Woods +10, Mickelson +13, Spieth +14, really not all that surprising. We knew Phil couldn’t hit a fairway, Spieth is struggling all around and has for a long time now and Tiger may be on his way to being a ceremonial golfer. Although I think Tigers got another regular tour win or 2 left and maybe a Jack in 86 moment, who knows.

Reed and DeShamblow on top after 2 rounds, most unpopular top of the board ever?

Where is Webb S.? He was listed at +1 mid-afternoon and I looked a bit ago at the leader board as he was not found. Did he drop out or some scoreboard glitch?

Not sure. Was there ever a combination of Monty, Seve and Faldo at the top? But yes, in today's game, this is the worst.

Now they're slobbering how DeChamblow's swing is similar to Giancarlo Stanton and then wonder if Stanton is watching the US Open right now. Nah...you know, not when he's in the four-spot in a game going on against Boston right now (then again, I'm switching back and forth between the US Open and the Yankees game).

Lol, they were almost ejaculating over Brysons 192 mph ball speed on his drive on 9 and Wolff just piped one by him by 15 to 20 yards.

I'll give DeChamblow props on the eagle at 9 with that long putt. Was great to see Wolff come right back on his putt and drain his eagle.

Sales of single length clubs and protein shakes will break records this week.

Wolff has fallen apart. With all the moving parts in his swing, if his timing gets off just a touch it can get ugly.
