If this was Spades somebody would have kicked Carolinas sandbagging asses out of the game a long time ago.

Groulx is disappointing. I’m surprised how unready he is.

Also, disappointed in defensive health. Seems like they are always missing multiple starters due to injury. Every. Single. Year. I mean, have they tried stretching before the game?
 
Wake is so well coached but Jimmy really layed a egg after taking the big lead. This could have been a huge win that probably would have put wake in the top 20. Jimmy has to teach these kids a killer instinct, game should have been put away.

Trying to think of a worse loss I can remember as a wake fan. That one is extremely tough. At least UNC already fucked their season by losing to FSU and UVA.
 
Carolina scored 41 points against Virginia in 10 possessions and scored the last three times they had the ball. We gave them 15 possessions today and they scored 59. Offense's inability to move the ball and eat up any clock after we got to 45 was a huge factor in why we lost this game
 
Felt like the DL got decent pressure but Howell had as much time as he needed and wide open WR for those killer deep balls. The running game kept drives churning. The secondary just got worked and the LB didn’t do much to help the running game or the passing game.

Roberson, Greene, and Morin is an excellent WR corps. A few drops but overall they had an excellent day. The drop off to Groulx is huge but I can’t really blame him for not quite being ready especially if Greene was injured.

My only real gripe with Clawson was going for it on 4th and long deep in our territory with about 3 min left. That’s a tough situation. But the odds of getting that 1st weren’t great and not getting it was sure to lead to a 2 score game. 4th and 5 from the Wake 40 with 1:30 left? Yeah go for it. Not in this situation. Punt it and hope for the defensive to do something to get the ball back.
 
Jimmy should take over playcalling on the defensive side after this pathetic effort. No reason to give up 35 in 20 minutes of action.
 
Whole offense is returning minus 1 o lineman. Majority of defense is returning and our young talent will only get better and better. This is a horrible horrible letdown of a loss and I’m not making excuses....BUT......We don’t lose that with a relatively healthy defensive backfield AND a healthy AT Perry instead of Groulx. Never a reason to blow a 21 point lead in the second half but clawson has is continuing to go in the right direction. A mediocre coach MAYBE wins 2 or 3 games with this team against our schedule.

Sun will rise, blah blah, next games the biggest, blah blah. It hurts but we will be OK.
 
wr depth is a bit of an issue but you certainly don’t prepare to be down greene and perry (plus surratt). groulx seems decent enough but dipping into stewart et al is trouble
 
Groulx is not what I expected based on film and recruiting rankings. That drop was huge, and Morin is clearly a better option at this point. Once again, being stubborn and refusing to adapt when it’s obviously needed killed us.

This is exactly what I was saying last week. We are a thin at receiver. Slot is in good shape but outside is weak. We have 1 reliable outside receiver
