Defending religious liberty I see.
Since there won’t be any consequences, the next time Republicans gain control will be even worse. It’s a shame Democratic leaders never learn that lesson.

Part of why Republicans engaged in nakedly partisan “investigations” is to insulate themselves somewhat from legitimate ones.
I hope this is true. You can't touch Trump without sullying yourself. As a country, we need to move on.
I can't stand Trump, but I also can't stand the idea of wasting thousands of hours on a bunch of show-trials and hearings that aren't going to lead to jack shit when there is so much other work to be done. It's not like Trump was some kind of mystery when Republicans nominated him or the country elected him. A giant swath of the country still loves him - in a sense regardless of what side of the isle you're on, Trump met your expectations. Let New York go after him for tax evasion and the banks go after him for his loans - we the people got what we voted for and what we deserved, it's not up to Federal courts to bail us out.
I’d be fine letting NY deal with Trump and letting DOJ focus on everyone else including Barr and Republican in Congress with shady overseas ties.
I’d rather paint this as GOP corruption than just Trump.
This pos is not, and should not be, above the law.
Who, Trump? He is, in many ways, literally above the law. He can pardon himself. He can pardon others. Just on a whim. He can future-pardon himself for anything he can imagine. Sure, he's not completely above state laws or certain absolutes (although even that's arguable at this point), but all us geniuses of the public put him there. Then almost kept him there. Maybe folks needed a reminder of exactly how much power the President wields but again, he sure did get a lot of votes and guys like Lindsey Graham got re-elected, so it's not like there was some referendum issued by the voters.
Isn't that up in the air with most people leaning against him being able to do that?
And I thought pardon powers were limited to items which were under potential investigation. You can't pardon for future crimes that haven't occurred.
